Chapter 152 - Am I in an angel's room?

Harper's gaze moved from the tiny feet to the hands, those exquisite hands and perfect fingers holding a book.

"The angel is reading? Of course. What else will it do." Harper thought to herself as her gaze moved on to the face.

The most beautiful face, that seemed like it didn't even belong among mere humans, was focused on the book, the long golden hair that seemed to challenge the sun were tied in a loose shoulder plaid that came upto where the shirt was tucked into the pants in the front.

Before Harper had time to admire that godlike face, the angel turned towards her and smiled. She then jumped down from the windowsill and her bare feet landed lightly on the floor, barely making any noise.

Harper blinked as the angel said, "Good morning. Did you sleep well?"

When Harper looked at her again, she muttered, "Aria?" That's right, it was Aria. Then was the angel that she had seen was just an illusion? No. Aria looked just like the angel. Or rather, the angel had been Aria. And she had now come back to the mortal realm.

Harper's thoughts were still confused when Aria came and helped her up. Seeing her dazed, Aria was worried.

She asked, "What's wrong? Are you all right, Harper? Did you hit your head? I did not think of that! I should have directly taken you to Miss Anhao."

Harper blinked and looked at the room again. The room still looked magnificent, the same as before. And Aria, instead of now looking like she diminished the beauty of the room, seemed to perfectly compliment it.

"Where are we?" Harper asked.

Aria blinked, "We're in my room. Are you sure you're all right?"

Harper did not know why, but she felt a pang of envy. Of course, this was her room. The only one who would not look out of place in such a beautiful room was Aria.

Seeing that Harper was not speaking, Aria was getting more and more worried. She had no idea what was going on in Harper's mind.

Harper was pulled back from her thoughts by Aria's voice, "You alright? Does it hurt anywhere? Oh my god!! What will I do?"

As if Aria's voice had lighted a lamp, last night's events came flooding back to Harper.

Her breathing became uneven and her eyes widened in fear as she searched the room.

She then looked back at Aria, who looked so worried that Harper instinctively calmed down.

She asked, "What happened?"

Aria, seeing that at least Harper had not lost her mind, heaved a sigh. "I'll tell you everything. All that matters right now, is that you're fine and you need to freshen up."

Harper nodded and as though in a daze, glided towards the bathroom. She was wondering why was she not more afraid by last night's events and not more thankful, as Aria had to be the one who saved her.

By the time Harper came out of the bathroom, Aria had put on her shoes and was standing in front of her closet. She looked at Harper, and said, "I couldn't choose something for you. Come here, tell me. What would you like to wear?"

Harper, growing envious and jealous of Aria by the second, even though even she did not know why, walked forward.
