Miss Anhao ran into a room much smaller than the recovery ward. Joseph followed her.
The recovery ward was the size of a big hall, but this room was only the size of a classroom. Miss Anhao shouted, "David? DAVID!!!!!"
A man about the same age as Miss Anhao came running. He asked, "What happened? Who's injured?"
Miss Anhao pointed towards Aria, who was unconscious in Joseph's arms.
The man named David ran upto Joseph ans his eyes widened. He said, "Lay her here. Come on."
As Joseph laid her on a bed, David bent down to check her pulse and breathing. He straightened up and said, "Anhao, fetch me Hannah. Quick."
Miss Anhao panicked, "Is she all right?"
David: "I'll explain everything. Just fetch Hannah quick."
Miss Anhao ran through the door they had come as David turned to Joseph, "Did she injure her lungs?"
Joseph, who had been a little in shock up till now, answered, "I guess so. She was punched by a fist of water in the chest."
David had brought out a liquid and some cotton and was beginning to clean Aria's wounds. He asked, "She was punched? Who did it? Was it Professor Moon?"
Joseph: "Professor Thomas."
David dropped the cotton he was holding. "Pro-professor Thomas? Professor Thomas did this?"
Joseph scowled, "Are you sure it's the time to be staring at me?"
David recovered and began to clean the several cuts and wounds on Aria's body. Joseph had to admit this man was good. He had cleaned most of Aria's wounds by the time Miss Anhao arrived back with what Joseph assumed would be Hannah.
Miss Anhao panted, "I brought her. Now.....tell me..... what's...."
David turned to Hannah and said, "Her breathing is slow. But pulse is strong. Probably injured lung. Make sure she gets proper supply of fresh air."
Hannah nodded and twirled her fingers, a small bubble of wind formed which attached itself to Aria's nose and mouth, probably helping her breath.
Miss Anhao was losing her patience fast. She said, "David, are you going to tell me how serious is she?"
David: "Yes....." He was about to speak when Professor Thomas also came running. He panted as he said, "David...is she..... serious?"
David: "I was just about to explain her condition. Her external injuries are not severe. It's just the fact that there are too many, probably due to which she lost so much blood. But don't worry, it's not so worse that we need to transfuse blood. The only major external injury is the deep wound on her left shoulder, which is also dislocated, by the way."
David stopped for breath as Joseph said, "What about internal injuries?"
David: "I was just coming to that. We can tell with certainty that she has injured her lungs, due to the difficulty in breathing. But we're going to have to run further tests to find out the extent of internal injuries."
Professor Thomas said, "So what are you waiting for?"
David: "Nothing. You both can go and wait outside. Anhao, stay to assist me."
After this Joseph and Professor Thomas were ushered outside the room.
While they stood there in silence, Joseph said, "Why did you do it?"
