Aria sat down at Harper's table and said, "Hello."
Harper looked up and said in an unpleasant tone, "If you came here to gloat because Jacob sat at your table, please leave."
Aria: "No. I just....I just wanted to apologise."
Harper: "Apologize? For what?"
Aria: "You know....for Jacob's behaviour. And the things Joseph said."
Harper began to laugh. She said, "Why are you apologizing? Actually, can you even apologize? Who are you to those two? Huh."
Aria was caught speachless by this question.
Harper continued, "Always pretending to be a saint. Why didn't you say anything when the two were talking to me that way? Huh."
Aria: "Harper. I'm really sorry for both of their behaviours. And mine too. That was all I wanted to say."
Aria began to get up but Harper stopped her. She said, "Why are you apologizing? To look good? Don't even try. You already have everything. Looks, power, everything. But still you have to steal the one thing I want. Huh."
Aria made no reply as she stood up with her tray.
But a voice came from behind her, "You cannot talk to her that way."
Aria turned around to see Joseph standing there, looking very angry.
Harper scoffed, "Look, one of your knights in shining armour is here. Should I call Jacob too? So that they can have a duel for you?"
Joseph opened his mouth, but Aria immediately said, "Shut up. Both of you."
Aria turned to Joseph as she said, "Who do you think you are? Jumping everywhere, saving the 'damsel in distress'. Well for your information, this damsel can break your leg if you piss her off. So I suggest you keep your distance from me."
She took a deep breath as she continued, "And you have no right to tell Harper anything. The way she talks to me, is between me and her. So keep your nose out of other people's business."
Aria was still not done. She turned towards Harper and said, "I have done nothing but be polite to you. And you have done nothing but be rude to me. And yes, you are right. I'm not a saint. I'm actually a person with a very bad temper who tried to control it too much. And if you're jealous of the fact that Jacob does not like you, why don't you try to think with that non-existent brain of yours, why is that?"
Aria began to walk away. She turned after a few steps and said, "And yes, you can find a 'knight in shining armour' of your own when we move out of temporary rooms. Because you're right. I'm done pretending to be kind. With you at least."
Saying this she began to walk away. Aria had not walked more than five steps when Jacob suddenly caught her wrist. He said, "What's wrong, Aria?"
Aria replied, "Jacob, I'm already angry enough. And I don't want to talk to you." Saying this she pulled out her hand out of Jacob's grasp, put her nearly untouched tray on a pile of used trays, and walked out of the hall.
