Chapter 49 - I am......am ba....back

Aria then looked and smiled at the figure of another girl. She was also really beautiful but had shorter hair than the one called Beth. Aria said, "Hey Julia. Still running around saving people when they are in a fit of rage? I doubt Beth would approve of that. I sure hope that you have not taught our little brother the same way you taught me, because I'm sure mom would never be able to handle another troublemaker in the family. So, you are sixteen already. Are grandpa and dad looking at boys for you to marry yet? Just make sure he can handle your ways because I'm sure very few can. Oh, and wait for me to approve of my brother-in-law before you give me any nieces or nephews. I guess that day is a little far. Wish me, it's my birthday after all. Hope to see you soon."

Aria finally sat in front of a figure of a rather cute little boy. She said, "Hey little brother. Actually, I never got to know whether you are my brother or sister. But I kind of have a feeling that you must be my brother. Spoilt by mom, dad and grandpa, adored by Beth and Julia. Like a little prince with the world wrapped around his chubby little finger. Hey, can I tell you a secret? I actually anticipate most my meeting with you. I want to know whether you are on team Beth and are a fine young man, or are on team Julia and a troublemaking little brat. I cannot wait to meet you, even if you don't know that I'm your sister, I'll spoil you to the end of the earth. Okay, I have to go now. Wish me a happy birthday, little brother. Bye now."

Aria then stood up and bowed to the figures. She said, "Take care all of you. Wait for me."

She then twirled her fingers and the flame form all the candles mixed into the one closest to the door. Aria gave a one last look to the cave, then blew out the candle and moved the boulder to come out.

As she came out, Aria noticed that it was already dark. "Oh no. Mother's going to be angry!!!" She exclaimed as she hurriedly put the boulder back in place and made sure it was completely sealing off the entrance before running down the hill.

Aria ran all the way into the village and into her home. She was barely able to speak when she entered. But she still managed to form a few words, "So...Sorry. I-I went too....too far, an....and did not.....noti....notice." She said, while bending down, hands on her knees and breathing heavily.

Sonia, who was setting the table, frowned at her and said, "I asked you to come back before dark. You don't have any regard for my words?"

Victor, who was sitting on his chair with a book in his hand said before Sonia could scold Aria any more, "Calm down dear. Aria is perfectly able to take care of herself. And it has just gotten dark. I'm sure she just lost track of time and did not mean to disregard your words."
