The hall burst into a mixture of murmurs, cheers and echoes of both sounded in the hall. The white-haired middle-aged man waved his hand, and the crowd fell silent. He continued, "First rule: no fighting is allowed outside the arena. If you want to challenge each other, a teacher has to act as the referee, otherwise, you're not allowed to fight at all. Failure to abide by this rule is punishable by expulsion!"
There was a wave of silence, as no one wanted to interrupt him. No one had any issues with this rule, and even if they had, they couldn't say anything about it. At least not right now, unless they had a death wish of course.
"If you have a grudge with someone, as long as you have an agreement, and a teacher agrees to oversee your match, you can step into the arena and fight. However, killing is not allowed inside the school, whether inside or outside the arena. If someone kills, then they will be immediately expelled, before being arrested by the army!" Rokkai paused.
He continued, "Now, the second rule: selling items made inside the school outside is forbidden! You're supposed to choose between Enchantment class, or Alchemy class during your studies. In the enchantment class, you'll make enchanted weapons, while in the alchemy class, you'll make different portions. Whether it be enchanted weapons, or the portions, they are not allowed to leave the school!"
People started asking each other questions, and murmuring among themselves. There was one student who raised their hand up, and Rokkai asked, "You have a question?"
"Yes, principal. I have two questions. The first question is, are we allowed to take both classes?"
"No, you're not allowed, and you'll see why when you begin. What is your second question?"
"The items we make during the two classes, to whom do they belong?" as she asked this, everyone's eyes lit up. It seemed as if they had the same question, but no one had dared to raise their hands up.
"The materials to make the items is provided by the school, therefore the items belong to the school. Only the school will decide what to do with those items. However, if you are outstanding, the school can give you one item for each feat you perform. Each of those items will be selected from what you make, so make sure that you make things which are outstanding."
Another student raised their hand up, before asking, "What if I didn't make anything? Or maybe I run out of things I have already made?"
"Well, you'll still get a reward, but this reward will come from the items made by students who have already graduated. Any more questions?"
He was answered by another wave of silence, after which he decided to continue, "Anyway, those two are the rules that require the most attention. You will be given books with more of the school rules, and make sure you read them carefully! If you have any questions about the rules, don't hesitate to ask your teachers!"
When he saw that everyone was paying more attention, he finally spoke again, "Now, you will be separated into four classes, based on your magic affinity. The four classes are Earth class, Fire class, Wind class, and Water class. If you have a fire-based attribute, like lightning for example, you'll enter the Fire class. If you have a water-based attribute, like ice for example, you'll enter the Water class."
As he finished saying these words, his gaze fell on Eskaria, who was confused, since her magic affinity hadn't been revealed when she took the test. There was also Reeve, who didn't know if his magic could be classified as Earth magic, or something else entirely.
Rokkai continued, "There are a few individuals with very special magic, don't worry much. I'll be seeing you individually, so we can resolve this issue. From now on, you'll be required to go and obtain your gowns from the registration hall. After you get the gowns, you'll be given the curriculum for your studies. Are there any questions?"
Again, he was replied by a wave of silence, which prompted him to continue, "Good! Study with all your hearts, and make sure you graduate with high grades. Also, during your studies, you're supposed to fulfill at least ten missions before you're graded. How you perform in each mission will determine your grade for the mission!"
'Eh? Missions? Will it be like the ones Merezeka gave me?' Reeve wondered.
Rokkai then closed the introduction, and he let the students disperse. After they had fully dispersed, only two people remained in the hall. The other person was Lady Kyrra. She looked at him with a complicated gaze, before asking, "What are we going to do about the disappearing students? There are now six of them!"
"Well … I believe we might have someone who can solve this issue for us", Rokkai replied.
"Who is it? The descendant of the Forgotten Emperor?"
"No… the person with the mark of death", as Rokkai replied, his face distorted into various shapes.
Lady Kyrra chuckled, before saying, "I hope you're not serious. The end of the world is coming, and we have two seeds. Why can't we just give them to Oldavin?"
"Because he made a deal with the god of death, and we made a deal with the goddess of wisdom. Ezrom made a deal with the god of mischief. All of us are trying to save the world in our own ways. However, this person was not part of the plan. Even the goddess of wisdom decided to let it be, and not interfere. Oldavin might think that gathering the seven seeds in one place for training is the answer, but we all know that the seeds are not supposed to meet!"
"You have managed to avoid my question entirely. Anyway, I'm sure Oldavin's messenger will be here soon. What are you going to do when he arrives?"
"Oh, nothing much. But I'm not going to hand over the two seeds, after all, we have our own plan for dealing with the titan king", as he said this, he had a wide smile.
