The person was now walking in the desert.
'A bit surprising, since Master Thelowars' mansion is pretty far away to work at if this person had to commute to and fro every day,' the crow thought as it circled the person, now walking at a fast pace.
The person started to bring out a stick from a pocket in their cloak which confused the crow. A few seconds later the tip of the stick started to glow a bright and warm light. The crow tried to look for any signs of him/her putting away a lightstick but found him/her just dusting off their hands.
'Did he/she use mana to light the stick on fire? Seeing how he/she went back to outdated methods and used a palm branch to use as a medium, he/she must be knowledgeable about using mana. That means he/she needs to be registered as a mana-user, but I can't sense her seal.' The crow flew closer trying to understand why this person was not a registered mana-user.
'Using mana without being registered is against the law, this person should know that. He/she also does a very good job at hiding their mana presence which is already a huge feat to master.' The crow started to approach her to take a look at the person and interrogate him/her. He knocked into her once expecting him/her to be startled by the sudden move.
The person already noticed his presence behind her from the sound of his wings and quickly looked back. The crow, surprised by how fast the girl turned back flew quickly to the sky to avoid being caught. He/She shouted something that got carried away by the wind. But, judging by the pitch and sound that reached the crow's ears, it was definitely a girl's voice.
All of a sudden the person stopped in their tracks and started to fish something out of the huge cloak. The crow, now wary of this person, prepared to pounce on her back to stop her from whatever she was about to do.
'I'll need to have a talk with Thelowar about allowing weird mana users to work in his household.' The crow prepared to have her flat on the ground, so he put a lot of force into his wings as he prepared to nosedive into her back. A few meters away from her back, she brought out whatever it was she was looking for and brandished it in the air.
'I can't let her do some black magic shit near Karandish, we'll be blown to bits considering the new protection magic on Karandish. It's way more harmful than it was before!'
The crow looked at whatever it was in her hand, she was holding up proudly and realized a second too late that it was just a few pieces of hard, stale-looking bread.
'What the hell, she looks like she won fucking gold,' Dumbstruck once again by this girl, he forgot to stop himself before he crashed into the girl again. This time, it wasn't her back, but her front that he crashed into.
She lost her balance and her bread fell on the sand.
"You horny ass crow, if you wanted me that bad you could have just asked," her muffled voice came from underneath the thick bundle of clothes.
'The hell, did this little thug say?' The crow felt disgusted by what the small person in front of him just said as he tried to take a good look at her face.
He couldn't see anything, no matter how hard he tried. She started waving at him to go away and he shook his head clear and followed after the girl who started to walk away.
"Oy, what do you want huh," she sounded annoyed.
It pleased the crow a bit to finally annoy this person after all the trouble she put him through. He wanted to tease her a bit more just to give her a full dose of what she gave him.
"Craw - craw - craw," the crow squawked.
'Shit, I'm tryna just imitate her, why do I sound so damn artificial?' the crow thought, a bit embarrassed at his efforts.
The crow tried to find another way to annoy her when she threw a piece of bread at him and ran away.
'Now the little thug's gone and done it,' the crow thought as he shook bread crumbs off of himself, 'you ain't going anywhere tonight.'
The crow launched himself at full speed towards the girl and caught her by the robe.
'Damn, she's fast.'
"Ouch! Bro, I gave you my bread you piece of shi-," she starts cursing at the crow.
'Piece of what? You thu-," the crow starts to curse her before hearing a tearing sound from her cloak.
'I fucked up,' the crow thought before the girl shoved the lit stick in his face.
The light was so blinding and bright that the crow started to shake as it flew away. It couldn't open its eyes but it heard as the girl's mischievous laugh faded away into the distance.
'Well, I'll be damned,' the crow thought before perching on a rock.
The crow sighed as he gave up chasing the girl into the town.
'Palawan Town, huh,' the crow noted before flying away, 'see you next time, little thug.'
