Viktor awoke in a cold cave in horrendous pain. His body felt like it had been in a car wreck, he slowly sat up and started to look around the dimly lit cave. The only light source in the cave was the dying embers of a fire which did very little to warm up the cave but he saw a few logs and some camping supplies on a wall. He felt very groggy and took some time to get oriented before slowly starting to get up. He made his way to the logs and threw on the fire. He then made his way back to the supplies and started to go through them. He found a sleeping bag which quickly threw on to keep him warm. He next found some rations and 2 gallons of water. He took the water and took a few deep gulps to help him beat the sudden thirst he had.
After warming up and drinking the water he started to think a little clearer and wondered where he was. The fire had finally grown enough to light up the cave and that's when he noticed it. His hand, his hand was like any other hand except it was smaller than what he remembered he then noticed his clothing and realized he wasn't in his uniform. He was having flashes of memories which confused him. He was wearing the clothes you would find on a someone climbing the Himalayas or something, but just as Viktor was starting to go in a panic his whole body relaxed and became calm. 'Just what was that, I'm pretty sure I was going to have a panic attack' he thought and thats when he heard a ping like on a video game.
He started to look around but then a blue screen popped up in front of him showing a gauge that was slowly climbing up.
"INITIALIZATION 12%...34%...48%...63%...75%...85%...99%...PING* SYSTEM START UP COMPLETE. Good evening, sir. How may I be of assistance?"
Viktor felt that weird calming sensation at least 3 times as he watched this weird pop up screen. Then the weird voice spoke which sound creepy because it sounded like both male and female voices overlapping.
"Uh... Hello... Who are you? Where am I? What happened to me?" confusedly asked.
"It seems that your memory and some abilities are still manifesting, Would you like me to speed up the memory and ability recovery, sir?" asked the disembodied voice.
Viktor thought about it and hardened his resolve, he was no good being confused and those slight memory flashes he was receiving were confusing him. "Do it."
Viktor once again doubled over and thrashed on the flood as his mind was filled with his memory and his body twitched with the final changes that were taking place. An eternity later... not really but sure felt like it to him and he remembered everything from his life.
"Owwww.... that bastard made it painful on purpose. Next time I see him I'm gonna punch him in the throat and castrate him."
The System spoke up after Viktor had stopped his ranting. "Sir, some of our abilities have been locked until a message is played. Would you like to hear it?"
Viktor frowned because that was not what he had demanded he had a bad feeling about this, he decided that he might as well get it over with. "Play the message please."
the system acknowledged the request and played the audio file.
"Hey little bastard, its me the most handsome R.O.B. in existance. At this point you may have noticed a few things, such as your a 10 year old twerp and that your system is locked. Here is the reason why... You got played! You think I wouldn't have my revenge you little bastard!? Do you know how much power it cost to create a system with all of the silly demands you made?! If I made it to your specifications the Creator would've found out and I would have been in deep shit. So I tweaked it. Now most of it has been left alone but sorry to tell ya, you ain't getting the Library. Some things have been nerfed, inventory is just the size of a large warehouse. No silly Stats to alocate or change... too much damn number crunching. the system will show your Health and magic and acquired skills. Your A.I. can go over it with you since I find it boring.
The mind and body things will stay since I need you in tip top shape for what is to come. You cant get JARVIS but the system AI is based on him so not much of a change there. Your surveillance security is gonna be nerfed somewhat since physical surveillance will be your responsibility. Dont wanna be seen, dont get caught. Electronic surveillance security will be handled by the system but the soul and magic surveillance security was a good idea so I'll let you keep those as is. Lastly I'm sending you to a few worlds to get some training since the the one you are meant to save, would chew you up and spit you out day one.
Hahahaha... this feels good I just wish I woulda seen the look on your face when you heard this message. Oh... I got an appointment soon so I'll finish up the info for the mission will be downloaded to your system after this... oh yeah almost forgot the system. That reminds me, your system has been nerfed too. You wont have stats. the only thing your gonna get is minimap, inventory, abilities, skills, Quest, and you know what since I'm such a nice guy I'll let you have a shop function. Thats it from me... oh shit, gotta go, I got a sexy little succubus to meet. hehe."
Viktor took a moment to process what he heard then only one thought went through his mind. 'Really?! That mutha@#$%!'
Viktor sighed and decided to focus on the here and now. "System... actually do you have a name because calling you system seems dumb."
"I have not been designated a name yet, would you like to customize my parameters to your liking?"
"Yeah we should do that before I go explore." Viktor answered tiredly.
"Very well sir, first would you prefer a male or female interface? Secondly, a name needs to be designated. Third, preference to interface whether it be vocally, mentally or physically with touch screens? Lastly how would you like the HUD system to function?"
Viktor took a moment to think about it, "Ok, female interface named Cortana. Preference would be mentally, dont want people to think I'm crazy. Hud I would like to just have a small compass at bottom right of my vision to show direction of my target, we can update later to suit my needs. I would like you to automatically jam or alter any sort of electrical surveillance on me to either blur myself or mute any sounds I make. One last thing, if you have a scanning function I would like to know when I am near something that can be advantageous for me or you so we can obtain it."
A familiar female A.I. voice replied, "System preferences have been set. Would you like me to scan this world to find out where you are, sir?"
"Please do so Cortana." Viktor then went along and set up camp near the fire while he waited for results.
Cortana sent a burst of Rob's energy to scan the planet and when it pinged a satellite flying in orbit downloaded all pertinent information then compared it to knowledge in its multiverse archive.
"Scan complete, based on universal resonant frequency and verified with this worlds internet we are in a sub dimension of the DC universe. more specifically we are 30km south of Nanda Parbat, sir"
Viktor froze after hearing the info he was sent to one of the most dangerous universes in his previous world's comics for training. "Cortana, please explain what you mean by a sub dimension?"
"Certainly sir, this universe is a version of the DCAU. We are currently in the year 2005"
"Damn! alright, I guess that answers that question." Viktor sat down and sipped on his water in silence while he tought of his next move. "Cortana can you go over the system with me. You dont have to call me sir by the way, We are gonna be with each other for a long while and you literally know everything about me so we may as well be partners or friends whichever you choose.
"Certainly Viktor, I would like us to be friends. the system is both simplified and complex it seems my creator did not put much effort into it but that can work to our advantage."
Viktor perked up at that, "What do you mean, Cortana?"

"As you can see there are no actual 'stats' it just displays your basic information such as name, age, HP and EP which shows a percentages for your current level of health and energy points as well as the percentage until your body evolves to its next stage."
Viktor decided to clarify a few things, "Most of that is self explanatory but what does Energy Points mean and what is the guage for my next evolution?"
"EP or energy points are what most people in your world would consider a magic guage but because there are so many different types in the multiverse it is easier to just label it energy because whether it is called magic, reiatsu, prana, psychic, Touki, chakra, ki or nen it is all a type of energy. Some are obviously directed at different types of your being. For example, Reiatsu is a soul or spiritual energy, and ki is more a Touki and ki are physical energies, psychic is a mental energy and chakra is a mixture of both physical and spiritual. They are all energy. The evolution guage shows the progre of your beings next evolution, currently you have 15% due to the pain you experience due to your Reincarnation the pain and physical ailments have tempered your being somewhat and your being had responded accordingly while you may have wished for an adaptable body, Rob seems to have given you an upgraded existence and made your whole being adaptable to include your body, mind and spirit. Per your memories and his message its seems he did this unknowingly."
Viktor's brain had short circuited at the information. He then did something he had not done in a very long time. He laughed, he laughed so hard he had tears in his eyes. "That lazy bastard unknowingly gave me a huge benefit...hahaha.... I'm still gonna castrate him though." After Viktor composed himself he asked some more questions.
"How does evolution work then?"
"Well... it's a good news bad news situation. The good news is that with this you can evolve your whole being but to do so you will have to undergo some pain. you will have to break down your body mind and soul and when they heal up yhey will be stronger. So yes you will be able to evolve but it will hurt. would you like to go over your next page?"
Viktor sighed, he knew it was a good thing but the pain was gonna suck... oh well no pain, no gain, he thought. "Why did you say it could work to our advantage?"
"Well sir, I am considered a part of you, so I can evolve as well which means more functionality for me."
"Awesome, please continue to the next page."

Viktor looked at his screen both confused and disappointed. "Cortana why do some things have a + next to them and could you please explain this page."
"Sure, some categories have a plus to them because those categories are made up of numerous things you have accrued throughout your life for example, Critical thinking, is an ability that is accrued through both book learning and experience. You were only human and relatively young so that is why it is at that lever. You were slightly above norm but still not at heightened levels. Dont be discouraged, those are just your abilities right now as a 10 year old boy in this world but all that will change once you start to train and learn more. The physical category should have tipped you off since you are still a human boy it only makes sense that its at beginner. Would you like to move on to skills?"
Viktor realized that even with his new system he wasn't going to be OP from the start which really sucked and it didn't help that Rob screwed him over but he was gonna work with what he had and become OP like those bumbling harem protagonists in no time. "One last question before we move on, why are emotional control and mental fortitude listed as mastered?"
"That would be due to Gamer Mind. would you like to see skills now?"
Viktor had forgotten all about that. "Yes, please continue."
"The skill page will be different to most you have seen in anime and games. In your memories it shows it would have been broken down between passive and active skills this is different. It seems Rob tried to compact your skill tree down as much as possible. You wont have active skills in the way that say Han Ji-han did. Think of it more like Kirito from SOA. You will learn skills and have to do the triggering effect manually. The system will not guide you through the skill like it did for the People in SOA or trigger like Han Ji-han with a voice command, you will. Now here is your skills page."

"You got it, chief... I apologize, I just wanted to try it out once."
Viktor snorted, "It's no problem, if thats how you want to refer to me then do so. Lets finish up so we can get some sleep and make plans tomorrow"
Cortana then went on to explain about the inventory function. Viktor was pleasantly surprised when he was told that he had an auto loot function. Rob really is a lazy bastard. She then went over the map functions. Viktor then decided to call it a night and get a fresh start in the morning. He could look at the quest and shop pages in the morning. Before he went to sleep he asked Cortana to scan the area for anything that might be beneficial for them.
