Chapter 5 - never been better

after two weeks of intensive work am on a plane coming to Nigeria, my uncle has been trying all possible means to find me since he suspects my involvement in his troubles, I had asked for my coming back to be made public knowledge for two reasons.

first my uncle has always pretended to have good intentions about me, and secondly I don't want to give Paul a reason to change his mind so as soon as I took my flight, a paparazzi publish about me taking a plane that is going to Nigeria.

I land at Mutala mohammed airport, and as arranged, Paul came to pick me up and guess who also came my uncle and my aunt. mrs Williams.

as I an Paul were walking out of the airport they rushed to us. I throw my arms and gave them both big hugs. the shock on my uncle's face was something I could live for

"I have really missed you both" I said

"you wouldn't come home no matter what, I also have to hear about your coming online, ha you do not treat me well at all, and me and your uncle have been so bothered" she kept complaining

"how is everyone, hmm aunt am just returning and I will be around for a while" I said

my uncle then compose himself

"how are you doing" he said

"never been better" I said with a smile, I turn but Paul was standing a step from me as I motion for him to come forward

"oh come let's go home already, I made your precious vegetables soup and pounded yam" said my aunt

Paul walks up to me and I interlock my fingers with him "sorry aunt I have to go home with my fiance, we are getting married by the weekend.

"oh were you planning on not inviting us, oh you are worst than your mother, Western culture has destoryed your thinking, he hasn't even come to collect list, nonsense " she said

"what she means is that we are planning to have the court marriage before the traditional, we will make sure everything is well taken care of" said Paul.

I have noticed that in my absence Paul has been rethinking about his decision, I can't let my fish go, am ready to make my bet by tomorrow his mum will already know about the marriage.

"oh such a gentleman, do take care of my little treasure," she said and turns to my uncle "you aren't saying anything"

"oh I wisssh them the b best" he stammered

we excuse ourselves and leave with Paul's gaurds.

Paul help me to the back sit, before he went round to open the door and sat beside me. the drive, drove off and we sat in silent for a while

"I didn't think that, that's how you will want your revenge," he said

"there is no time table for revenge, if I show myself it's because I already have what I need by this time tomorrow my uncle will be running up and down"

"if you got it all figured out why do you want me" he asked

"have you heard of this saying. the enemy of my enemy is my friend"
