"Darling," Zoey called out softly. "About what you said six nights ago…"
Her words trailed off in the air as Matthew froze on the spot. Slowly, he turned his head to her direction and laid his eyes on her figure that was still.
He studied her figure for a while as he waited for her next words. Matthew swallowed a mouthful of saliva as he recalled the night he was bombarded with those memories.
"You said…" Slowly, Zoey raised her head and met his eyes.
"I said?" Matthew repeated, tilting his head to the side.
Zoey gravitated the words that had been lingering in her mind for a long time. After a brief contemplation, she shook her head lightly.
"Nothing," She said, "It's nothing. Eat now."
In the end, Zoey decided to ask him some other time. It seemed Matthew was half-conscious when he spouted those words. Thus, she didn't want to probe now and overdo it. What was important was Matthew regained his consciousness and he was back to her.
