Matthew Xi ended the call before Zoey could answer. He might not say anything, but Kenneth Bai could feel the ominous aura that enveloped around them.
"Uhm... Bro, what I'm saying is, you should be more lively, I mean celebrate! Because the woman you like now likes you back!" Trying to ignore the suffocating aura surrounding them, Kenneth Bai gulped as he advised.
Since Matthew Xi didn't speak another word after his revelation about his relationship with the peculiar woman, Kenneth Bai tried to make sense into it by spouting nonsense. However, just as he was blubbering, Matthew Xi's phone rang with a cringy song sung by a deaf tone woman.
Ignoring Kenneth Bai, Matthew Xi dialed another contact number in his phone before placing it on his ear.
It only took one ring for the call to be answered, "I changed my mind, cancel the plan." Matthew Xi said, ending the line even before the other person could respond.
