"Sorry. Took me a while," Irene apologized, coming out of her room with a small wooden box in her hand.
Ilyan's attention was drawn toward her when she turned off the lights and before she could even realize that she did not have her phone with herself to turn on the torch, he was right beside her.
"I am here," he whispered, touching her arm to make his presence felt. "I am here."
She could not have been more surprised upon seeing that he remembered that she was afraid of the dark.
"You naturally have a sharp memory that makes you remember every single thing about everyone or it is a skill that you've developed over the years?" she asked, amused at just how much his brain was capable of storing.
Had he remembered just a couple of things, she would have accepted it without any second thoughts but the way he remembered the tiny details raised her curiosity.
