"Careful." Ilyan slid his palm under Irene's head as he helped her lie down in her bed.
The morning had been a pleasant one for them. Irene had experienced almost no side effects of the antivenom shot. She had been discharged with a set of instructions one of which asked her to report back to the hospital at any point she experienced the symptoms from the list they had handed her. Apparently, he had mentioned that they were probable to appear in the next two weeks.
"Thank you." A small smile tugged at the corners of her lips as he let go of his hand that was holding hers. Though the swelling had gone down a bit, she could still see its traces. Her hand and thigh still hurt. "Please go home now and rest," she urged. He had been in the hospital with her the whole night. Though she knew that she could have managed it alone as well, having him around had certainly made things easier and less stressful.
