"Is this why you did not reply to my message?" He raised a brow as he rose to his feet with the tablet strips in his hand.
"Which message? I did reply to you, didn't I?" She shrugged, visibly unaware of what he was talking about. Getting her hands on her phone, she unlocked it. "See I -" Her words died in the air at the sight of one unread message. She clicked on it.
'Nope? What does that mean?' She read his message before looking at him. "I am sorry." She must have missed it after taking that temporary break from her phone after sitting in the cab.
"It's okay but..." He flipped the tablet strip toward her. His silent question waited for it to be answered.
She fell silent, hesitant as to what to really tell him. Pretending to not have gotten his question, she resumed putting her scattered stuff back in her bag.
