"I'm heading back tonight," Ilyan informed Sara after he showered the kids with hugs and their favorite chocolates. He had driven himself to the orphanage soon after his conversation with his mother. How could he leave without meeting them!
"I thought you were going to stay longer," Sara commented, clearly remembering him mentioning that he had come for good two weeks.
"I was but I have to go. Is there anything these sweethearts need?"
"Not that I recall but I don't think so. You take care of everything, Ilyan. You are no less than an angel to these kids. God bless you!"
Ilyan's face lit up as he silently patted his back for not letting himself down. The orphanage was not a mere orphanage to him. To him, it was far more precious.
"I'll just collect some stuff from my room." He bid her goodbye already before waving at the kids.
