"Uhm, Angel," Irene muttered as her eyes were back to reading that email in detail, "the location given to me is Warlington and they need me to join right away. This says - report within two days."
Melissa looked up from the cake batter that she was whisking. "Two days? Dammit. We need to hurry. Go... start packing already." Visibly anxious, Melissa speeded up the process of baking a cake in the happiness of Irene's achievement.
"I am not concerned about that, Angel, Irene said, putting her phone on the counter.
Melissa poured the batter in the tin. "Then? What's going in your head, Irene?"
"I would have to shift alone." Irene's face fell right as she brought it over her lips. Doing the internship meant leaving Melissa alone in Berxley and moving out to Warlington and she was not sure how okay she was with that.
"So? We always knew it, didn't we?" Melissa feigned calm, skillfully concealing the chaos in her heart from Irene.
