Olivia dragged her feet till she got to the entrance of Emma's room.
She stood still and looked at where she passed through. It was a simple passage way, with the floor cemented and would definitely be cold to ones feet.
The house, even though wasn't big, has 5 rooms built in it. Each small, but was made comfortable to rest in. All thanks to Emma wanting her family to feel comfortable.
The twins aren't sharing same room, due to the fact that each rooms cannot contain 2 beds.
Emma and Caroline's room are more spacious than the other rooms, while the last room was used as storage.
It was meant for guests, perhaps. But that couldn't be the case, since they have no friends.
Emma has been trying to solve this mystery for a long time. She only grew to know her parents, but she doubted that they wouldn't have other relatives.
There are decent spaces before each rooms, which left Emma's one at the ending of the corridor.
Olivia doubted if she wouldn't have a wrinkles on her face before daybreak, because she couldn't bring herself to relax her frown.
She opened the door to the room and it was exactly as it appeared in her memory.
There was only one window in the room, where a simple bed was placed besides it. A small wooden made dressing table, with almost every bottle on top of it, half empty. There rest had line marks on the inside. Indicating that Emma tried to force out the stained content on the inside of the bottle.
Olivia sighed.
A small wardrobe, in the form of kitchen cabinet was close the edge of the bed, while tens of nails were pinned to the walls, with different gowns hung to it.
Everything look messy.
By messy, it wasn't that the room was dirty, but it looks like a room belonging to someone that's struggling to manage what she has.
To Olivia, everything was a mess.
To make matter worse, the entire family uses one bathroom. She would have to bathe with this group of people.
She felt her heart tightened and bit down on her lower lip.
"Come out!" She screamed at Darling in her head.
"Uhh me?" The system asked.
"Don't ask the obvious. How many are we, here?" Olivia retorted and gasped, as she felt like her soul nearly slip out of her body.
Her heart raced for a few seconds, before stabilizing.
She glared at the system that couldn't look her straight in the eyes.
Darling was expecting her to say something, but Olivia just had her gaze fixated on her.
"Boohoo. Host, you're scaring Darling." The system spoke up and backed away from Olivia, wondering if she wasn't planning to do something to her.
"For the last time, don't call me host." Olivia said and paddled her feet towards the blue sheet bed.
Unlike how Emma was scared to use Olivia's bed, it came naturally to Olivia.
She was feeling sane at the moment, because despite the choking atmosphere in the room, it was very clean and everything well arranged.
"Come here." She said in a command tone.
Darling floated in front of her, looking like she wasn't comfortable.
Olivia squinted her eyes. The more she felt this wasn't possible, the more she was proved wrong.
The sight of a talking and floating bunny alone, could make her doubts disappeared.
This is extraordinary, but she wondered why she was entangled in it.
If not for her ego that wouldn't give her uncle the winning satisfaction, coupled with what would happened to her parents, Olivia would have chosen to die, rather than facing all these.
"Why was I swapped into this type of world. This sort of family to be exact?" Olivia asked.
"You two were doppelganger and that's what our system deals with. Her life could be straightened by your potential, while your life could be amend with hers.
The struggle in each of your lives, fits what could mend the flaws in your lives. That's the least information I could share.
That was all we see fit, before choosing the two of you." Darling replied to her.
Olivia took a deep breath and sniffed her nose. Her eyes darted around the room. She noticed a fluffy materials on the bed.
She had thought it was a pillow, but looking at it beside her, she scrutinize the round shape baby bed-like form and memories flooded in.
"Wait What!" Olivia exclaimed.
That was Nemo's bed, when he slept in her room.
"She sleep on the same bed with a cat?" She asked Darling, who just remained silent.
"Oh my god!" Olivia massages her temple and with one swift movement of her hand, the bed was yanked to the floor.
"I can't believe that girl." Olivia said and shook her head.
Oh yeah! Laptop!
She got up from the bed and tried to look for a laptop, but there was no where to search. It wasn't spacious enough to hide something, and laptop wasn't supposed to be hidden, anyway.
Which only mean one thing.
Emma does not have a laptop!
"This is getting more and more frustrating." Olivia mouthed and relax her body on the bed, staring at the white painted ceiling.
If anyone tells her that she would be stuck in this type of situation, she would laugh hard at the ridiculous joke, but here she was.
Olivia wondered how much Emma had left. Perhaps she could purchase a laptop tomorrow.
Something tells her that Sammy would do something bad to her, if she drags things.
Her threat still resounded in her ear.
For her to openly poison a fellow human being, she was surely capable of something worse.
Immediately her mind drifted to Emma and money, the memories of how Emma counted a bunch of cash and kept it under her bed...
Yes! Bed!
Olivia got down from the bed and went on her knees. Her hand searched the spot in the memories and as expected, there is money.
If she had this much, how come she was still suffering so much?
Immediately her mind drifted to the thought, it was like she traveled back in time to when Emma was sorting the money.
Then she managed to access her thoughts.
Loan sharks!
Olivia opened her eyes wide, as more memories popped up about the loan sharks.
They make claims without tendering evidence and Emma was paying for debts that could be fake.
What the hell!
Olivia felt her inside bubbled in annoyance.
This time, not to Emma, but those people.
How dare them!
She couldn't blame Emma or call her an idiot for this, because the threat was enough to make even someone like her to give in.
She would surely deal with them, but first of all, this money needed to be use the right way.
There's no way those sharks are going to get a penny from her.
All she needed was a laptop. Even if there was an evidence, she could make it disappear.
