"What is the surprise?" Emily asked.
It's the long break and both are walking out of the class.
"You tell me first." Nicholas insisted, holding her bag.
She had protested against it and the boy is just so stubborn. Now, she's getting used to it.
"You will see." Emily said and they both got to their usual spot, where they settled down to chat and read under a tree.
"Close your eyes." She said in her sweet tiny tone.
"Hmm.. You're being mysterious today." Nicholas said, while she reached to hold his hands and direct it to his face.
It was the first time she took the initiative to touch him first.
Her heart raced wildly and she bit down on her lower lips before reaching inside her bag and pulled out her sketching book.
"Can I open it now?" He asked and she said no.
She brought out a neatly folded paper in between it and spread it.
"Open it now." She said and he did.
He couldn't believe his eyes.
