"Stop cooking." Max said and Emma, who had her head buried on the files that he had given her to go through as person usual, raised her head to look at him
"Why?" She asked.
"Don't stress yourself. I see you don't like Audrey and could tell how uncomfortable you felt whenever you stepped into the dining room. Perhaps because she would be eating from it?" He said and Emma nodded her head at his question.
She didn't want to fake anything.
"Stop it and let's focus on something important. The cooks make great dishes. You will love them." He said in a soft tone that made her heart filled with warmth.
"I want to. It's fine." She protested.
"I insist. You're not here as a cook and it's not appropriate since the start to begin with." He said and Emma was starting to regret it now.
