"Ha! I remember you." Emily exclaimed as she saw Emma walk in.
She had joined the cook in preparing the breakfast as per usual and just came out while they set everything and came to serve it.
Max smirked as he saw her avoiding eye contact.
Emma's head has been consumed with their interaction during the dinner night that it felt like he knew all about her thoughts right now.
She took her seat opposite him and smiled at Emily who was holding violet beside him.
"At the charity ball." Emma said and Emily nodded.
"Yes. What are you doing here?" She asked and the atmosphere got awkward.
"Well, our parents are interested in making us get together. She's here so we could test the chemistry." Max replied to the question and Emma finally looked up at him.
He seem so different and smiling nicely that her heart couldn't help but skip.
Why is he so different?
