Everyone surveyed their surroundings with nervousness evident on their faces.
"Oh! Guys from other Universes are coming." Goku said as he saw the flashes of light appearing everywhere on the tournament stage.
Suddenly, Android 18 shouted. "Come over here!" Then she continued observing the bottom of the ring.
They approached her and looked below the stage too. They were shocked as they stared at the abyss below.
Whis explained the rules once more and reminded them that they need to knock their opponents to eliminate them.
Vegeta scoffed and said. "We can fly, can't we?"
Whis denied Vegeta's claim and Goku even tested it out. He jumped high up in the sky but he couldn't control his Ki to fly.
Whis then added that this stage was controlled and the combatants aren't allowed to use flight since that would destroy the essence of the tournament.
The others were bewildered since people from the other universes have people who can fly.
Whis said that it was normal since they have wings, to begin with. Furthermore, the gravity was adjusted to be the same as their home planet to make the fight fair.
Then Whis and the others flew away from the stage and placed themselves on the bench, prepared for the spectators.
Universe 6's fighters greeted Goku and the others. Goku and Vegeta also saw some of the Saiyans of the Universe 6.
He tried to greet them and shake hands with them but the girl Saiyan was rude and directly slapped his hand away.
Suddenly, Goku and Vegeta were alerted as they felt a massive Ki entering the stage. It's so immense that they couldn't help but feel trepidation sweep over them.
The people who appeared are all wearing the same suit consisting of a red, spandex-like suit with black sections around the collar and legs, white gloves, and white boots
The massive Ki came from a man with gray skin, big round black eyes with enlarged pupils and dark grey sclera, flat round ears, and a barely visible flat nose.
Goku immediately approached Toppo. He said that they would finish their fight here.
Toppo refused and said that personal squabbles aren't allowed in this tournament since it concerns the safety of their whole Universe 11.
Goku looked at Toppo's back and saw the figure emitting the insane amount of Ki. "Hey, you."
"Get lost." Jiren said. He's already behind Goku just before the latter finished speaking.
*Tap* A hand suddenly appeared on top of Jiren's shoulders.
"Hey, you should at least greet him nicely, too." Hazuki said with his left hand atop of Jiren's right shoulder.
Jiren looked at him seriously but didn't say anything else. He must've sensed Hazuki's arrival too but he didn't bother to dodge since it wasn't an attack. Or maybe because his body couldn't react in time at all.
"Hazuki, what are you doing here?" Goku asked.
Suddenly, the blocks of materials used in constructing the stage flew towards everyone.
It swept through the stage and didn't leave any single contestant alone. Everyone dodged out of the way and Goku did the same.
Hazuki and Jiren stood on place and didn't bother to dodge.
*Whoosh* The stone blocks swept past Hazuki and Jiren. The stone blocks only phased through the former while the latter dodged it while remaining in place.
After that, the Grand Priest presented Zen-o's message for everyone. "Everyone, thanks for coming! We've been really looking forward to this! Everyone! Make it exciting for us!"
Then the Grand Priest explained the rules once more for every fighter to remember.
Gohan then explained the tactics they are going to do as said by the Kaioshin. Goku, Vegeta, No. 17, No. 18, and Hazuki disagreed.
"That's a boring plan." Vegeta scoffed and said.
"T-these guys.. they don't intend to listen..." Krillin muttered.
After explaining the rules, the Grand Priest then announced the start of the Tournament of Power.
Everybody immediately fought against the nearest opponents. Ki blasts after Ki blasts were fired, filling the stage with explosions of different colors.
Goku immediately dashed away after seeing Toppo, shouting. "Toppo! Fight me!"
But Goku was intercepted by another fighter so he has no choice other than to finish it first.
Vegeta, No. 17, and No. 18 also dashed away after a few seconds.
"T-the plan..." Gohan stiffly smiled after seeing them running off by themselves.
"Hazuki!! Create Many of those Clones and knock everyone out!!" Beerus shouted from the Benches.
Hazuki looked at Beerus and smiled. "Beerus-sama, I will not move unless necessary. No one else could make me fall out of this stage after all."
Beerus gritted his teeth as he saw Hazuki disobeying his orders. Whis just laughed as he stared at Beerus.
"What arrogance. Jiren, deal with him later." Belmod said.
Jiren looked at Belmod and nodded stoically then he continued observing everything. He occasionally glances at Hazuki's direction, gauging his powers. 'That speed.. He's not an ordinary fighter...'
A few minutes later, Goku and Vegeta were already fighting the last three fighters of the Universe 9.
"Trio de Dangers! Don't you dare lose!" The Supreme Kai of the Universe 9 shouted in panic. If they lost, the Universe 9 would completely disappear.
"Leave it to us, Kaioshin-sama! We brothers shall defeat these two!" Bergamo replied while exchanging blows with Goku in his Super Saiyan state.
Suddenly, both Bergamo and Basil charged towards Goku. Goku sidestepped slightly and avoided Bergamo's tackle and used a Ki blast on Bergamo's back to blow him away.
While Goku was turned around, Basil used this chance to deal a sneak attack. He jumped up and dropkicked towards Goku's head.
Goku dashed forward, avoiding the kick and sent 2 Ki blast towards Basil's stomach.
The Trio de Dangers were already pushed on the corner of the stage, just a little bit push and they would be eliminated.
"B-bro..!" Basil said as he looked behind him.
"Let's go, Brothers!" Bergamo shouted as he gathered Ki on his hands.
"Triangle Danger Beam! x3" Bergamo and his brothers attack with their Ki combination blast.
Goku and Vegeta powered up to their Super Saiyan 2 state and responded with their own Ki blasts.
"Ka..me..ha..me..ha!"
"Final.. Flash!"
The Ki blasts met, Goku and Vegeta's Ki blasts immediately dominated the trio's Ki blast, sending them down to the abyss.
"All of the Universe 9's warriors have dropped out. They've been eliminated. Therefore, the Universe 9 will be erased." The Grand Priest said grimly. All the other fighters stopped to look up.
After the Universe 9 was erased, everyone finally realized that the danger was real and they had to fight with their lives on the line.
Zen-o asked why did everyone stop fighting. It weird to stop fighting in a tournament after all.
Grand Priest replied that they would start once more.
"Kakarot, don't waste your power." Vegeta muttered. In front of him, Botamo and Hit were approaching.
"You better not play around too much anymore." Goku said as he retreated away slightly.
Vegeta grinned as he looked at Hit. "Maybe I'll start by paying those guys back."
"Hah!" Vegeta transformed into his Super Saiyan state and dashed towards Hit.
Before he could even reach Hit, Botamo's large body shielded Hit from Vegeta's punches.
"Out of the way!" Vegeta snarled as he pummeled Botamo's inflated stomach. His punches created ripples on Botamo's stomach but it didn't have any other effect other than that.
"That doesn't work." Botamo smirked as he stared at Vegeta's futile attempts.
"Get him Botamo!" Champa shouted from the benches.
Botamo grinned as he punched with his right arm.
Vegeta sidestepped to the left and avoided his punch. Then he held Botamo's right hand with both hands, exerting power to throw him away.
Botamo stomped his feet to the ground, preventing himself from getting lifted. "Throwing won't work anymore."
Vegeta smirked as he replied. "Thought so!" Then he turned Botamo's rubbery arms into a knot.
Botamo's arms were tied similar to a shoe's tie. "What?!"
Then Vegeta carried Botamo's weight and walked towards the edge of the ring, trying to throw Botamo down.
"Botamo! Someone, help him!" Champa shouted in panic.
Suddenly, metallic sounding footsteps resounded. One of the Universe 6's fighters came to rescue Botamo.
"Choo-po." Magetta shouted as he punched towards Vegeta's back.
But he could approach Vegeta, Magetta stopped.
"Banshō Ten'in."
Then his body moved on his own and was approaching the central pillar of the stage.
Hazuki was there, extending his right palm. He then moved away from the other fighters to avoid hitting them with Magetta's large metallic body.
Soon, Magetta's body was in contact with Hazuki's palm. Then Hazuki aimed at the outer ring and said. "Shinra Tensei."
Magetta's metallic Body flew all the way towards the abyss. Hazuki wasn't contented as he followed his attack with a single Ki Blast.
*Boom* Magetta's body finally fell on the abyss. Both he and Botamo were eliminated at the same time.
"Botamo! Magetta!" Champa shouted in disappointment.
"Nice! Hazuki, keep it up!" Beerus was especially thrilled when it comes to gaining against Champa.
Hazuki looked back and saw that some of the stronger warriors are looking at him. Toppo, Jiren, and Hit.
Specifically Hit since he's an assassin. An assassin was a master of hiding their presence, which meant that their Ki mustn't be detected too. And he can feel an enormous power concealed within Hazuki's body. He stared at him grimly and thought. 'I'd better be careful around him...'
This time, Goku was facing against caulifla. The latter said towards Goku. "Hey, old man Son Goku. You changed into a form I haven't seen before, didn't you?"
"You mean Blue?" Goku replied.
"Forget the name. Teach me how to do that. Teach me, as thanks, I'll turn into that Blue thing and beat you up!" Caulifla said as if a matter of fact.
"Sis! That's not a thanks!" Her sister, Kale, said.
"Hmm. What should I do.. I don't think you're ready for Blue yet." Goku replied as he looked at Caulifla with a smirk.
"Huh?! Tch, you must be mocking us! Kale, transform already." Caulifla said.
Kale tried to turn into a super Saiyan but she couldn't do it yet since she couldn't muster the anger needed to transform.
"I'll show you an amazing transformation, don't wet yourself!" Caulifla said as she pointed a finger at Goku. Then she transformed into a Super Saiyan and started amassing Ki.
Her body inflated and her Ki was enormous.
She dashed towards Goku and punched. But the latter easily dodged her punches and even managed to strike her on the back.
Goku said that the current form of Caulifla wasn't suitable for fighting since it's very exhausting and she would lose a lot of speed.
Then Goku showed his Super Saiyan 2 and said that she must aim for that form.
Caulifla was excited as she approached Goku. She said that she did that transformation once but she couldn't do it ever since.
Then Caulifla tried to transform like how Goku did. In just a few seconds, she managed to transform into a Super Saiyan 2. Goku also praised her talent and said that she might reach super Saiyan 3 in the tournament.
Then both of them fought. Their fight was very scattered and they reached almost every corner of the fighting arena while exchanging blows.
Suddenly, Goku kicked Caulifla in the face, but the latter managed to place both of her arms in front of her just in the nick of time.
Goku can overpower her very easily even if both of them were at Super Saiyan 2 state. That's because Goku has been training intensely in order not to be left behind by Hazuki. Sometimes, he would also spar with him and his combat power was steadily rising during that time.
Kale looked at her sister losing the bout and thought that she needs to help her sister.
While Goku and Caulifla were exchanging blows, she suddenly fired a Ki blast towards Goku. The latter deflected it easily and said. "Hey, you there! Can you not bother us?"
Then Goku continued the fight against Caulifla, unaware of the mental instability he caused to Kale.
Suddenly, green-colored energy erupted from Kale. Her appearance was quite different from normal Super Saiyan since her hair was green-colored.
"Son Goku!" Kale growled with a very low voice as she dashed towards Goku and Caulifla.
She tackled both of them, blowing them away afterward. She did it indiscriminately since she also targeted her sister. She has completely lost herself in her rage on Goku.
"Honestly, you managed to wake up quite the beast." Hit said after stopping Caulifla's descent towards the outer ring.
Kale flared her Ki and everyone around the stage was immediately alarmed by the massive Ki she's currently emitting.
"Son... Goku! Son... Goku! Kill!" That's all Kale could say in her enraged form.
She then dashed towards him and punched. *Boom* *Boom*
Her punches form craters on the tough state as she chased after Goku. Suddenly, a Ki blast exploded in front of her and she grabbed Goku's foot through the smoke.
*Bang* *Bang* She smashed Goku's figure around her.
Goku flared his Ki once more to escape from Kale's grasp. He then kicked her face and punched her Solar Plexus twice.
Though he managed to make her body convulse a little, that's all the damage he could deal.
Kale formed a green-colored Ki blast on her hand and Goku immediately retreated.
Kale followed him and grabbed his head, then dragged him across the ground.
"Hah!" Goku transformed into his Super Saiyan Blue state to blow Kale away.
"Ka..me..ha..me..ha!" Goku fired it towards the approaching Kale. The latter completely ignored it and walked towards Goku with steady footsteps.
Then Kale grabbed Goku's collar. "Son... Goku! Son... Goku!"
Suddenly, Kale's body released smoke. The flaring Ki suddenly her also dispersed as she threw Goku sideways, smashing him on the near boulder.
Kale stood atop of stacked boulders as she flared her enormous Ki once again. "Hah!"
Suddenly, numerous Ki blasts were released on her body, wreaking havoc everywhere.
The fighters within the ring halted their fights immediately and dodged Kale's Ki blasts.
After her Ki blasts halted, the ring was already covered in smoke.
Hazuki, who's sitting atop a boulder, suddenly picked a stone a threw it out of the ring.
Whis was observing every of Hazuki's actions. That's why he found it weird that Hazuki would suddenly throw a stone outside of the ring. 'Is he killing boredom?'
"Amenotejikara." Hazuki's voice was quite low. But Whis heard it very clear since the fighting within the stage halted.
Suddenly, Kale, who's in the middle of the ring, disappeared from her spot.
Only the spectators noticed that Kale suddenly appeared outside of the stage.
"Hah!" The enraged Kale flared her Ki, attempting to fly and prevent herself from totally falling into the abyss.
But it was useless since she wasn't sane.
Kale appeared beside Botamo with her enraged state. "Hah!" She punched Botamo's face and the latter immediately flew towards the Universe 7's location.
Whis immediately erected a barrier, preventing Botamo's large body from crashing onto them.
Vados acted and aimed her staff on Kale's head. After the staff glowed, Kale's body slumped and she lost consciousness.
"Kale was.. eliminated?" Caulifla couldn't believe her eyes. She's just in front of her! How could she get eliminated!
While she was puzzled, Hit beside her was thinking of another thing.
As an assassin, his senses must be acute and his vision must be wide. While he's observing Kale, he's also observing Hazuki in his peripheral vision.
Suddenly, he saw Hazuki throwing a stone away and muttered a word. After that, he saw that the Stone, which Hazuki threw, exchanged places with Kale.
'What is that..?!' Hit was alarmed. If he could do that without limit, then he'd undoubtedly become the winner of this competition!
That's why he decided to confront Hazuki and prevent him from throwing them out.
Vegeta and Goku looked towards Hazuki's direction. The latter was currently sitting atop of the boulder while sitting in a lotus position with his eyes closed.
"Hazuki! Why would you do that?! Things are just getting interesting so why?!" Goku shouted. He knew that Hazuki must be the person who did that. After all, he knew that Hazuki has the ability to switch places with anybody.
Caulifla looked in Hazuki's direction and shouted. "So it's you who did that! Fight me, you coward!" she shouted. That kind of sneaky tactics was only for cowards!
Hazuki opened his eyes and focused his intimidating aura on her.
*Boom* Suddenly, Caulifla kneeled and held her head as she shouted. "Ah!!" Afterwards, she completely passed out.
Hit carried her by the scruff of her neck and hid her body within the rubbles.
After that, Hit walked towards Hazuki's direction. As soon as he got in the two-hundred meters radius around Hazuki, Hit immediately used his Time-skip and dashed towards Hazuki.
He focused the Ki within his fists as he aimed at Hazuki's chest.
*Bang* The Ki infused punch connected but it didn't damage Hazuki's body in the slightest. Although the area around his chest was destroyed, his body remained unscathed.
Hit was shocked. He was even more shocked when he saw Hazuki opening his eyes and gazing at him while his Time-skip was still active.
He immediately retreated and a drop of sweat appeared on his forehead. 'He's a monster!'
For someone to ignore a Ki infused attack, their Ki must be at least 3 times greater than the person who attacked. Hit was already as strong as Goku, but his attack still didn't do anything against him?!
'Good thing I didn't commit to that attack! It's better to leave him for that other monster to deal with..' Hit thought as he stared at Jiren's direction.
Hazuki smirked after seeing Hit give up on him. 'Heh, so you do know that you're no match for me..' then he gazed at Goku's location and saw the predicament he's in.
At this time, Goku was bear-hugged by a person from the pride troopers. He's struggling to keep up with the weight since he's just on his normal form.
Hazuki then made a Ki blast on his right hand and fired it towards Tupper's back.
Of course, Goku wasn't directly in front of him. So he controlled his Ki blast to make a few turns and finally, his Ki blast struck Tupper's back.
Due to the sheer power behind Hazuki's Ki blast, Tupper's grasp was immediately released. And Goku was able to dodge Zoiray's attack.
Then Goku transformed into his Super Saiyan Blue and grasped Tupper's scruff. Then he threw the latter forcefully towards the abyss.
Tupper was knocked out while Zoiray regrouped with Cocotte and the others. Cocotte created a barrier around them and trapped Cabba and Caulifla inside.
A few minutes later, the barrier opened. Cabba and Caulifla were beaten up, they were unconscious and the pride troopers were already planning on sending them out of the ring.
That was when suddenly, Hit appeared behind them and struck the back of their necks.
Kettol and Kahseral immediately lost consciousness. Zoiray was directly thrown out of the ring by hit and Cocotte hid inside her barrier.
Hit then threw kettol and Kahseral outside of the stage then he picked up Cabba and Caulifla. He then hid then away behind a boulder and watched over them. He doesn't want to fight anymore and he would just bide his time.
Hazuki stood up then he landed beside Gohan and the others. He was quite bored watching Goku and the others getting beat up by mediocre warriors just because they are conserving strength.
"Oh, Hazuki-san, what are you doing here?" Gohan asked. Ever since the start of the tournament, he moves according to his own volition. He doesn't even care about the plan and he was just sitting on a nearby boulder with closed eyes.
The others also looked at him with questioning gazes.
"Ah, I don't want to see them fighting anymore. The only people who should be left inside the stage were the best of the best and we'll let the main event begin." Hazuki said. The only people missing in the group now were Goku, Vegeta, No. 17, and No.18.
Since there are debris around them, Hazuki immediately used his Amenotejikara. Goku and the others were startled due to their sudden change in location.
"Hey, come here for a sec." Hazuki said.
"Hey, Hazuki why would you do that?!" Goku asked. He was previously fighting against Dyspo and Kunshi.
Vegeta just scoffed and remained silent since he wasn't really fighting anyone before this.
Hazuki suddenly used his Susano and manifested its upper-body. The Susanoo's upper-body was more than enough to carry all the fighters of in this tournament and Universe 7's fighters were currently inside.
Hazuki used Banshō Ten'in to absorb Goku and the others inside the Susanoo.
"A-ah!" They were startled because of their sudden loss of body control.
Everyone watched as Hazuki's Susanoo manifested. The fighting's inside the ring stopped as they stared at the Humanoid avatar.
"W-what is that?!" Toppo exclaimed. The purple color of the Susanoo appeared very ominous for everyone.
Jiren was silent, but he was staring at the Susanoo with grim eyes. Though he wasn't sure what kind of energy that is, he can feel that something bad is going to happen soon.
"Woah! What is that? So shiny, so cool!" the two Zen-o exclaimed. In their lives, this is the first time they've seen something like that.
The Angels and Gods of Destruction stared at the Susanoo in amusement.
"Ho, what kind of Ki technique is that?" Belmod asked Marcarita, his Angel attendant.
Marcarita stared at her staff for a few seconds and replied. "Hmm... I don't know, Belmod-sama. There is no record of that technique in all of the Universes..."
"What..? Then how could..?" Belmod asked in bewilderment.
"Maybe that Human created it himself." Marcarita replied as she stared at the Susanoo in the middle of the stadium.
Whis stared at Hazuki's Susanoo and thought. 'Looks like Hazuki-san is making a big move that will since he gathered everyone and placed them under his protection... What could it be?' Then he started recalling each one of the bizarre techniques he has seen Hazuki using.
"That's illegal!" Champa shouted. That's because Hazuki's Susanoo was currently levitating.
The other Gods of Destruction also complained. Since the winner of this tournament will be decided on which Universe has the most fighters remaining, who doesn't want fewer opponents?
The Grand Priest looked at the two Zen-o and asked for their opinion.
"Safe." The two Zen-o's replied.
The Grand Priest then explained why Zen-o made such a decision. "Flying using Ki is restricted within the ring and anything that can fly inside it meant that they are not using the floating technique! That's why it's safe!"
"Tch." Most of the Gods of Destruction just snickered.
"A big one is coming, stay alert." Jiren muttered to Toppo.
"Pride Troopers, assemble!" Toppo shouted.
Dyspo and Kunshi immediately approached Toppo and stood beside him. They stared at the Susanoo in the middle of the ring with trepidation evident on their faces.
The Susanoo, which was previously motionless, suddenly raised both of its arms and aimed it outwards.
The warriors inside the ring tensed up and immediately braced themselves.
"Shinra Tensei." A voice resounded throughout the silent battlefield.
*Boom!* Circular energy exploded outwards, pushing everything away. The Debris, Boulders, everything in the stage was swept away by the force.
*Boom* Some of them tried to resist by firing Ki blasts towards it, but it was completely useless as the energy continued to explode outwards, unhindered.
The Pride Troopers group resisted quite well with Jiren at the forefront. But even he was getting pushed back slightly.
The powerful force sweeping outwards didn't stop and it even affected the spectators on the bench. Their respective Angels immediately erected a portal and resisted the force.
"Ahh!!" The weaker warriors were immediately swept away and fell out of the ring.
"Hah!" Jiren flared his Ki to disperse the residual amount of force. Then he led the Pride Troopers back inside the ring using the boulders and debris as a foothold.
A few seconds later, only a few fighters managed to get back into the ring.
"Woah! So many of them fell!" The Zen-o's exclaimed as they stared at the remaining contestants inside the ring. He and Future Zen-o took turns in disqualifying the contestants using the God-pad.
"Universe 2, 3, 4, and 10's are eliminated. Due to all of their contestants falling out of the ring, their respective Universe will get erased!" The Grand Priest announced.
"What?! Zen-o-sama!" Most of them shouted in panic and some of them already accepted their fate. But all of them had a similar thing in common, they stared at Hazuki hatefully before they disappeared.
"Impossible..!" Belmod exclaimed. If Marcarita didn't erect a barrier, then even he might've gotten blown too.
That's because Hazuki infused a strand of his Heavenly Chakra on that attack, that's why it's so potent.
Beerus' eyes were wide as he held the stone railings of the benches. "W-whis! We won!"
Whis just smiled, then he stared at Jiren's figure seriously.
Champa immediately retorted while stuttering, his face was sweating intensely. "D-d-don't be so confident, Beerus! My Universe still has the assassin, Hit!"
Hit escaped since he entered his Time-skip dimension. He became intangible and the force of the Shinra Tensei didn't affect him.
Vados suddenly imitated the sounds of sobbing as she said. "Goodbye, Champa-sama. It pains me to bid you farewell."
"Vados! How dare you!" Champa shouted. His face was sweating and his legs were shaking.
Vados just laughed at Champa's response.
There's still 30 minutes left before the end of the Tournament of power and most of the contestants were already knocked out.
Hazuki released his Susanoo and let everyone down. The Tournament stage was now a rough, muddy stage since the smooth upper layer of it was destroyed by Hazuki.
Everyone from Universe 7 has their mouths agape. They stared at the destroyed stage, void with people. Just a moment ago, this stage was very chaotic because of the battles and now, it's so silent that their gulps could be heard throughout the stage.
"Hey, Goku. Do you want to rest first before fighting that Jiren or Toppo?" Hazuki asked.
"A-ah-ahaha, y-yeah." Goku said while stuttering. 'Good thing Hazuki pulled us!'
"Hey, Pride Troopers, do want to rest first before our Universe deal with you?" Hazuki shouted.
Dyspo was enraged and wanted to retort back but he was held back by Toppo, who only shook his head. Toppo knew that if it wasn't because of Jiren, they would already be eliminated.
"We'll rest first, Dyspo. That man might be as strong as Jiren, if not stronger." Toppo said.
Dyspo was shocked and remained silent. He then sat on the ground together with Toppo.
After that, all of them rested for 10 minutes. Belmod and Champa were being eaten away by the trepidation they are feeling while their fighters are resting.
The silence was unnerving them and don't like that feeling. They wanted the fight to continue since that is the only way to know the outcome.
