Chereads / Bald Monk in the City / Chapter 15 - Critical Hit

Chapter 15 - Critical Hit

Just at that moment, Yi Qiu felt the muscles in his body reach an indescribable harmony!

A mysterious fluctuation covered him, starting from his head and swiftly spread to his entire body!

From head muscles to those in his left leg, from his stapes muscles to his quads, all his muscles were actually in unison!

A small amount of power gathered together, from a thin stream to a raging river!

  Crit!

"Peng!" Under these heavily destructive attacks, the head of the Brown Mother Wolf exploded!

"You have killed the partner of the Mother Wolf, obtaining 30 Experience Points."

Fresh red pieces of meat mixed with white skull bone fragments scattered in the air! It finally landed on the ground, dyeing a shocking red on the dry yellow grass.

The body which had lost its head continued to fly toward the small hill from the remaining momentum!

In the end, it rolled down the hill. The yellow fur was covered in random bits of grass and sticky fresh blood!

"Aoo!" The white Mother Wolf gave out a hateful and sad howl. Even if Yi Qiu didn't learn Universal Language he understood that.

People of the modern world were all selfish, it was the period of survival of the fittest. Yi Qiu waved his right hand that was covered in sticky liquid. The stabbing pain in his body rushed him to quickly end the fight. Eight Gates was a sharp double-edged sword. It harmed others and himself too.

He had no more time to hesitate. He clenched his fists and the sharp sound of wind rustling broke out once more!

"Xiu!" The scenes all around disappeared quickly. The human eye wasn't able to keep up with such a speed. He relied on his Senses and Agility to charge toward the white Mother Wolf.

"Kong!" Without hesitating or retreating, the White Mother Wolf bared its fangs and charged at Yi Qiu!

The wind was rustling furiously. The White Mother Wolf howled and in that moving white shadow it was really easy to spot a pair of hatred-filled eyes.

"Pu!" Yi Qiu's fist and the White Mother Wolf's mouth contacted. After a less than 0.1 second delay, his fist ripped open its throat and pierced through!

"You have killed Protector Mother Wolf, obtaining 30 Experience Points."

  Dungeon requirements reached, tabulating results.

"Your evaluation in this dungeon: One dangerous adventure."

"You have obtained an extra 600 Experience Points and 200 Integrated Network Coins from killing the monster."

"You have obtained a base reward of 200 Experience Points."

"You have obtained a total of:

800 Experience Points and 200 Integrated Network Coins."

"Hu hu hu." Yi Qiu unlocked the Eight Gates state and then he felt a stabbing pain around his body. That sense of unlimited strength disappeared and he felt much weaker.

He flicked away the White Fur Mother Wolf that he had pierced his fist through and he noticed there was a piece of wolf fang stuck deep into the back of his hand. Yi Qiu was only able to pull it out after using a large amount of strength.

"Let's hope I don't get rabies." Yi Qiu thought about it and didn't toss it away. As a memorial from being snuck attacked for the first time, it was really meaningful.

Speaking of which, that Brown Mother Wolf was actually the partner of the White Fur Mother Wolf. Yi Qiu didn't expect that. From the notifications of the dungeon he thought that they were all female wolves. However, it wasn't like female and female partners didn't exist...

He exited the dungeon and felt much better. Once he left the dungeon, his injuries were much lighter. Death would become a serious injury, a heavy injury would be a moderate injury and moderate injury would become a light one. As for light injuries, they would heal right away.

Yi Qiu started to use Ki to recover from his injuries. Although Monks had little healing and he could only heal himself, after the slight adjustment of the Integrated Network, Yi Qiu's healing ability increased along with his Ki amount. It was much stronger than before. Although he couldn't heal others, healing himself was not bad.

This Wolf Pup Cave dungeon was something that Yi Qiu felt special about.

At least this was the first time he was sneak attacked by a monster, he felt like his intelligence was suppressed.

Thinking about it, that White Fur Mother Wolf probably noticed him long ago, running out to attract his attention to allow the Brown Mother Wolf whose brown fur had high camouflaging ability to sneak attack him.

He suddenly thought about the words of an old hunter, "When you notice a wolf, then there is at least one other that is in a corner you have no idea about, staring at you with its blue eyes."

As Ki flowed through his body, the stabbing pain slowly disappeared. Yi Qiu was filled with the urge to level up. When he was Level 7 and had the Mixed Energy Body, he would be able to directly heal. He wouldn't have to slowly rotate Ki around his body, it was really inefficient.

Truthfully a Monk could fight, could heal and could take damage. If there weren't any wizards, Monks would be really outstanding in DND.

The wizards in DND, especially those Epic Ranked Wizards, the best ones could pretty much kill gods. Of course, there were many wizards who died before reaching Epic rank.

Yi Qiu felt that once his Monk level reached Epic, he would advance and get the Sorcerer sub-class.

However thinking about it, Yi Qiu felt that it was too far away. With his current leveling speed, who knew how old he would be when he reached Epic. Maybe at that time, he would have a different thought. At least now, Yi Qiu wasn't willing to take up another class.

It was too heavy a punishment but maybe he could obtain some practical abilities through the Bloodline. Yi Qiu thought about it.

Things like Medusa's Petrifying Gaze was decent, although it didn't differentiate between enemies and allies, it would definitely kill minions. Thinking about it, he was probably unable to come into contact with such a high-quality Bloodline at such an early stage.

However, that wasn't certain either. Heyu's Blood didn't seem like a low-quality Bloodline. After all, it was a beast from Classic of Mountains and Seas and from the description it had the calamity property. The Classic of Mountains and Seas even described it as bringing a flood the moment one saw it. It seemed a little subtle but in the end it differed from beast to beast.

Monks lacked control, especially crowd control. Although he could use experience to learn Fist of Awe, he didn't want to spend Experience Points now. After all he lacked experience and to learn this he needed to spend 1,000 points. This was simply too expensive.

After killing the White Fur Mother Wolf, it dropped a chest. Yi Qiu was too lazy to pray as he felt that it was more worth it to use the +2 Luck of higher grade chests when merging Bloodlines.

Easy difficulty chests couldn't get him a suitable Bloodline. Yi Qiu also felt that people with balls were more lucky. After all he did get the Heyu's Blood the first time and subsequently he didn't get many good Bloodlines.

The strength of the wild boar barely increased Yi Qiu's damage but that Wild Boar Princess was such a con. He didn't have enough Integrated Network Coins so he couldn't merge with the pangolin blood. However, Yi Qiu didn't want to merge with it. Yi Qiu felt that he should merge with Bloodlines with useful abilities or ones that could strengthen his stats.

So, how should he deal with the wolf meat to make it more delicious? Yi Qiu looked toward the bloody wolf meat, he had a headache. As an opponent worthy of respect, he had to eat it up to show his respect to it.
