{Third Person Point of View}
The doors of the inner temple burst open and the five gods entered. The people in the temple readied their weapons for a fight.
"Anak, it's been a while" Loidu said when she saw him.
"While not as long as I had hoped, it has certainly been a while. Come to finish me off?"
"No, not really. We didn't even know you were going to be here or where you had hidden all these years. Anyways, if you're going to defend her like you did those servants years ago, I'm going to have to kill you"
"Big talk for someone who's just a moving body of water. You should watch your words Loidu" Britta interjected, lacing Anak's fingers with hers. She squeezed them tight for him to know she would always support him.
"Britta.....you're alive"
"You were hoping I would drop dead? I'm not sorry to disappoint you"
"Still so cheeky and irritating. I'll rid the world of you myself. As for you Anak, I know Gunjar and Intar want a rematch" Loidu said, her halo of water turning into weapons.
"Sephira, Jeir, Jowe, defend Kohra. Eline, help Britta out. We have to stall till she finishes her ascension" Anak instructs.
"I hear you but first.....Muni! Where is Lesker?" Jeir demanded.
"oh...a pest like you dares to ask me questions. The nerve of you...Kohra has given you all confidence. Why should I answer you?"
"Because I asked a simple question" Jeir replied with a shrug.
"You.....are you mocking me?"
"Me? I do not need to mock or anger you. If you can't understand a simple question, then you're the one who is mocking yourself"
"Tch, mortals! Here, take him" Muni said in annoyance and threw Lesker at her. She caught him before he could reach the ground.
"Since you're my descendants, I'll do you the favor of holding him as you put up a pathetic fight. After I've decimated you all and taught you a lesson, I'll pry him from your cold corpses"
"You still sound so righteous for someone who wants to kill her descendants" Jowe pointed out snidely.
Muni glared at her.
"There's no need for much talk anymore. Attack!" Muni ordered coldly.
Gunjar and Intar rushed at Anak, each preparing an attack. Scales appeared all over Anak's body and his hands turned into talons. He blocked the attack with his bare body. He reciprocated with purple fire from his hands. The two jumped to avoid it and attacked at the same time, Gunjar with an ice attack while Intar raised two giant arms from the earth to crush him.
The giant arm broke to pieces while Anak's purple flame melted the ice attacked. Two black wings sprouted from his back and he flew like a bullet into the clouds. Gunjar followed him while Intar attacked from the ground. The two couldn't lose sight of him or dare to attack anyone else.
If any of their attentions shift, he could kill them in a blink of an eye. He was the former dragon emperor after all. He was too powerful for one god to take on.
As for Britta and Eline, they were holding their own against Loidu. Eline was on full lion transformation, a huge golden lioness with a bright golden halo which protected her body from the attacks. Britta had the same scales Anak had, defending her from the attacks of the water goddess.
Loidu shot her weapons made of water and steam at them, leaving them no space to counter-attack. Since there was water everywhere, she was invisible. However, her opponents were no pushovers. Britta braved the attacks with her body and rushed forward with her sword forged from Anak's teeth to attack her.
Loidu reciprocated the attack with her sword made from water. Since Britta had closed in, that gave Eline the chance to attack Loidu with her magix. It wasn't very effective at injuring her but it gave Britta more chances to get her hits in.
Burmi's prayer beads were his main form of attack and defense. Sephira, Jeir, and Jowe had matching stripes on their bodies, showing the curse of the bloodline was active. Jeir had water, Sephira had darkness while Jowe had fire. They defended Kohra from Burmi but they relieved for help from the council.
Midway the fight, a bright ring of light covered Kohra. Everyone was shocked but soon saw the group of women who covered their heads with veils and were called the spokeswomen of Muni. Kohra's defenders were wary of the new addition but their wariness turned into relief soon when the two poured all their magi into protecting Kohra.
Muni watched the battle from high ground. Her patience was wearing thin. She attacked the barrier covering Kohra but her attacks didn't place a dent on the barrier.
"Why? Why are you all defending her?"
"We're tired of covering for you, for your numerous atrocities. You have reigned for far too long. She is a much better replacement" a council member replied to her.
"A replacement? What?!"
"We intend to replace you and slowly expose all your atrocities, even if it costs us our lives"
"Then die!"
"Oh, we will die one day. Just not today" the council member said. They channeled all their magi into the protection spell, burning even their life force and disappeared. Muni roared in anger and hit the barrier with her full strength.
Nothing happened for a while but they heard a small crack. Muni smirk and kept pounding at the barrier. When it almost fell apart, Lesker woke up.
