Chapter 76 - Warnings

Priscilla held my arm as I forcefully walked down the corridor of the bottom floor. The sound of Johannes's footsteps behind us filled my ears. Priscilla's daughter continued to sleep in my arms. She was small and weighed as light as a feather. I sighed.

I was mentally preparing myself for the sight of what I had read in my history textbooks in my first quarter at Uni. The TransAtlantic trade was a brutal trade which involved slaves and cargo. This was the first time that humans were treated as property and bought as such.

The corridor kept getting narrower and narrower as we walked down it. Only several lamps hung above creating a grim and dimly lit feel. My nausea wouldn't abate from the movement of the Ocean under us. For some reason as we neared the large room of the passengers I thought of Baron. I sighed.
