Chapter 6 - Chapter Five

AIKO'S POV

Days passed and it was already Friday. Once we were dismissed, Naruto and I hurried over to Sasuke's. Ever since that little incident of his, he hasn't been attending classes. Of course, I explained his condition to the teachers, which they let him slip. I looked over to Naruto who was wearing a frown. My eyebrow raised up, questioningly. "Hey Naruto what's wrong?"

His frown immediately turned into a smile, but for some reasons, it felt forced, "Nothing. Come on, let's go." He says, opening his door and getting out, then stood before Sasuke's front door. Yet, he just stood there, blankly, clenching his fists. Did something happen between them? Ever since the rooftop event, they haven't been hanging out much. Are they really going to keep me in the dark?

Letting out a sigh, I opened the door instead and entered with Naruto following behind. No one was home except for Sasuke who was upstairs. Itachi left a note saying he had to get some groceries. It's been like this for the past three days, I would look out for Sasuke during the afternoon and Itachi during the night. I didn't mind of course, what are friends for?

Before I could take a step of the stairs, a hand grabbed my wrist, pulling me back, only to face Naruto who was still looking down. "Naruto. What is it?"

"Sasuke loves you, you know that right?" he said with a tight grin, placing a hand behind his head.

I laughed, "Of course he does." I say casually, thinking of how annoying we really might sound to him right now. But when those words came out of my mouth, he looked away, releasing me. "You really like joking around, don't you?" he continued, chuckling as he placed his hand on my shoulder. I nodded in response, giving him a toothy smile.

"Honestly, I think he likes Sakura." I whispered, showing Naruto a mischievous grin. Earning a snicker from him and a pinch on the cheek, he replies, "He doesn't."

"Ohh~ is it because he loves me?" I joked again, poking my tongue out. He shook his head at my childish acts and slung his arm around my shoulder. "Yeah," he replies plainly, giving a playful wink. Irking Sasuke, telling him that he loves me, never tires me. I love how annoyed he would look whenever I'd claim that he does. It's now like a habit to me to exasperate him. And of course Naruto would always play along.

We entered Sasuke's room as if it were ours, only to find him sprawled on his bed, asleep. The ball of sunshine and I exchanged glances, letting out a bunch of chuckles. Of course, we didn't let this moment slip without taking pictures of him. I hate to admit it  but he looked so handsome when he's asleep, he's so cute! Well, I do notice his attractive looks every time but his attitude ticks me off, probably the reason why I counter his attitude with me being annoying.

I didn't notice that I've been staring closely at his angelic figures until his eyes suddenly opened and in an instant he sat up. "How long have you been in here?!" He asked, a bit to loud while he pulled the sheets over to cover his bare chest. I rolled my eyes and chuckled. "Sasuke, are you gay?"

Naruto laughed obnoxiously at the question, "I am not!" The duckbutt said through gritted teeth, pushing the covers off his body exposing his built body only wearing his black boxers. The sight made me look at him in awe. I didn't dare to look any longer, for I know know it will boost his ego and he'll say something cocky.

"Ew! Get some clothes on, you freak!" I yelled, looking away, hoping for him to not see my flushed face. He laughed like a devil before I felt hands grab me by the waist, lifting me up in the air and before I knew it, I was already on Sasuke's shoulder. I squirmed under his hold, sending punches on his back. "Hey! Put me down! Aren't you supposed to be in pain right now?!" I exclaimed, still struggling to get out of his grip.

"Turns out I'm not anymore. It wouldn't hurt much if you'd stop moving so much though." he says nonchalantly as he continued to hold me tightly.

"Naruto! Help me!" I begged, but he just laughed at the sight, holding up his phone, yet I couldn't tell if he was taking a picture or recording a video. "Naruto! That's mean!" I pouted, reaching up to him as if wanting him to take my hand and help me out.

"Sorry, Aiko." Was his only reply with chuckles in between.

I gave up and sighed, letting my body depend on Sasuke's support as he continued to walk his way downstairs. My mouth was kept shut as Naruto followed behind still having his phone up. Poking my tongue again at him, he laughed before blowing a raspberry at me as well.

"Geez Aiko, what have you been eating? Bricks?" Sasuke asked playfully but in a calm manner. We found ourselves in the living room before my body went crashing down to the couch as the duckbutt threw me.

I groaned in pain, "Sasuke, what did I tell you about treating ladies right?" another voice interrupted from across the room.

Relief washed all over me as I continued to squirm under the grasp of Sasuke who held both of my arms above my head with one hand and the other ready to tickle, "ITACHI HELP ME!! L" I yelled out loud, trying to knee his younger brother anywhere but it was futile.

The calm and collected Uchiha walked over to us, with the younger brother eyeing him suspiciously. Itachi just stood there, right in from of us, watching Sasuke who was on top of me, his knees resting on both sides before my body, strangling me. Itachi just looked at us bluntly, until long and awkward seconds passed. I felt my cheeks heating up from the position I'm in. Naruto could only stand there before us, mouth agape but his hand was still holding the phone.

I could hear the ticking of the clock from the other side of the wall. It was that silent, no one dared to talk. Sasuke's breath fanned my face and i grimaced, taking the chance to push him off me while he was still off guard, "Get off me you freak! Your breath smells like rotten tomatoes!" I yelled, lifting my foot in attempt to kick him.

But of course, I failed. He was fast enough to grab it and propel my body from his. I collapsed on the floor, "Mother of god. Sasuke!" I hissed in pain, getting on my knees.

"Hn"

Clenching my fist tight, I looked up to see him smile smugly at  me with Itachi still standing before him, but he had his eyebrows narrowed, his eye was twitching. I was ready to lunge at him, yet preparatory to it, Itachi beat me with just a poke of his middle and index finger, making Sasuke fly to the end of the room. My reaction was just like Naruto's, the same from the last time we saw him do it. Fear.

"Nii-san! That hurt!" whined Sasuke, his body sprawled on the floor.

Itachi huffed and looked away from his brother's pouting face, "You should've thought of what you were doing, foolish little brother."

"I did nothing wrong!"

The elder Uchiha glowered at him, "You hurt Aiko."

"I did not! Besides, it's not like she's really hurt." Sasuke countered, muttering the last several words to himself, yet it was loud enough for  us to hear. I stood up, as sneakily as I could, trying not to gain the attentions of the two siblings. I reached over to Naruto's side who had a sweat drop. We both looked at the two unhook, practically seeing the electricity piercing over each other's eyes. "This Is awkward." I mumbled.

Naruto looked at the sight helplessly, "You could say that again."

Then out of the blue, Sasuke pointed at me accusingly, like I just surpassed him him over a test, "she's not a lady! Did you not even see how boisterous she actually is?!"

Itachi opened his mouth to reply but before he could do, I seized his finger, gripping on it tightly, "What did you say?!"

"H-hey! Relax, y-you guys! Naruto waved his hands at us, laughing nervously. I huffed, releasing Sasuke's finger then facing Itachi, "Your brother's way better than you." I stated, crossing my arms.

I knew saying so was a risk, Sasuke hated being compared with his brother more than anything else in the world by far. I rarely say this to him though, only when Itachi's here since I could use him for defense.

As expected, Sasuke was about to tackle me to the ground but his older brother stopped him with a tight smile, "Now Sasuke.. Why don't you make something for dinner? He says, patting on his younger brother's duckbutt hair while I hid behind him, knowingly then, I made an eye contact with his cold, onyx eyes. I stuck my tongue out, giving him an eyelid pull taunt.

"You are annoying!" The younger Uchiha blurted out, ready to lunge at me again, but before he could take another step, Itachi held out his hand to stop Sasuke.

"Sasuke..."

The said boy puffed aid and stomped his way to the kitchen, leaving the three of us sweat drop at his grumpy attitude. "Why is he always like that?" I questioned myself out loud, it wasn't meant to be heard but the words slipped out of my mouth before I even thought about it.

"Sorry Aiko. Sasuke's never really the soft one." Itachi says, plopping on the couch. Naruto scratched the back of his head, "I think we're both aware of that."

"Seriously? He's like...got this boy period all the time!" I exclaimed, sighing in relief as I sat on the bean bag that was on the other side of the couch where Itachi sat.

"I do not!" Sasuke's voice interjected from across the room, echoing. Drops of sweat formed on out foreheads again as we listened to the younger Uchiha ramble out of colorful choice of words and complaints most likely about how annoying I am.

"Oh yeah, Itachi, Halloween's coming up soon, do you think it'd be fun to maybe throw a party or go trick or treating?" Naruto asked excitedly, earning a raised eyebrow from the elder. "Aren't you a bit too old to go trick or treating?"

"But we'll have so much fun and besides, think of all the chocolates and candies you can get in one night!" I countered, stretching my arms back. .

"Then I guess it can't be helped. You can do both though. It'd be nice to have a party too." Itachi says with a smile.

"You're all so childish. If you want chocolates why not buy them from the store? It's easier and faster that way." Sasuke retorted from the kitchen. Another batch of droplets formed and ran down our foreheads.

Naruto yelled back. "Doing activities like these are called making memories, Sasuke!"

The duckbutt's famous 'hn' could be heard clearly despite the despite from where he is and where we are. "That guy's really no fun." I whispered to the two males who kept me company. Both of them nodded in agreement as they snugger.

"Alright! Then I'll be hosting a party in two nights time!" The blond declared, putting a fist in the air with a grin plastered on his face.

"Tch, you better not throw a crappy one."  The presence of Sasuke startled us as he was standing beside me. He  was wearing one of those creepy looks that says 'why am I hanging out these idiots again?'.

Itachi shot a glare at him, tightening his lips. His younger brother only rolled his eyes at him, holding a spatula with one hand, "Get back in the kitchen you whiny enough." I say kicking him with my free foot successfully this time.

He was about to stumble but he managed to balance himself rather quickly, "Don't boss me around, loser." He said coldly, huffing as he went on his way back.

"Geez, I really don't know how you guys are related." Naruto commented, receiving a chuckle from Itachi.

Minutes turned into hours and the three of us were planning about Halloween, the party and who to invite. Eventually the whole school was invited. Naruto seemed to be so pumped up by this, snickering over his thoughts. I couldn't help but feel excited as well. I can't wait to tell Hinata about this!

I was a bit disappointed when I knew the whole school population was invited, that of course, means that Karin will be coming. For the past years of being friends with Sasuke, I can't help but feel annoyed for him, the way she flirts with him almost every time! Sasuke's clearly not interested in her, why bother? But noooooo, she just had to push herself more. What a complete idiot.

Itachi, Naruto and I discussed over things, like plans for the future and so before Sasuke announced that dinner's ready. My eyes twitched when I saw what was on the table. The duckbutt sat on his seat while the three of us looked at him in disgust. "What the heck is this shit?" Naruto grumbled from behind me, lowly, as Sasuke started to eat.

I tugged on the sleeve of Itachi who was also looking at his brother in disbelief, disappointed and distaste. The elder looked at me in understanding. "We waited for nothing." I whispered, and he closed his eyes, taking a deep breath.

"We're ordering pizza." Itachi stated, earning a raised eyebrow from his younger brother. "Why?"

"BECAUSE YOU CANT EXPECT US TO EAT NOTHING BUT TOMATOES!!" Naruto cried, pointing at the table that was filled with different dishes that consists of almost nothing but tomatoes. His best friend glared at him, taking another slice of the red fruit.

The three of us grimaced at him, letting out disgusted sounds, "Why don't you try these Herb-Parmesan roasted tomatoes, nii-san." Sasuke told his brother with an innocent smile, a sinister smile. I cringed at how creepy he looked.

"No thank you." Itachi said as politely as possible, walking out of the room to take his phone to order some pizza.

Naruto and I were left standing in front of the tomato-loving Uchiha, who was staring at us blankly while holding his chopstick that held another slice of the red cherry. I heard Naruto gulp from beside me as Sasuke stood up. I felt the blond jerk on the hem of my sleeve. "We should go Ai"

"Aiko." The low and raspy voice of Sasuke boomed from across the table. I gulped swallowed the lump on my dry throat and answered , "Y-yes?"

"Come here." He demanded with his threatening eyes. I took a quick glance of Naruto who was looking at me, his eyes saying that he'll be praying for my soul, he was looking at me like I've been tasked to join the Navy and be used as a sacrificial piece.

I did what I was told, looking down at the duckbutt who was playing with his food that looked like an appetizer. It was a dish of crusty bread with tomatoes above it. I cower. "Taste this." He says, holding a piece with his sticks.

"No." I say nonchalantly.

He breathed out heavily, like really loud. Sasuke then grabbed my hand, pulled me towards him, making me sit on his lap. He wrapped his arms around me securely  as I once again squirmed to get out of his grip. "HELP!!" I yelled, but Naruto could do nothing but stare at the sight that was happening before him in horror.

"I don't get why you all hate tomatoes so much here!" Sasuke growled, shoving a piece of his broiled ricotta toast in my mouth. My scream became muffled as the duckbutt looked at me plainly. I didn't have the courage to swallow what he made, instead, I spat the food on him, accidentally . Yeah, I'd like to think it was an accident.

He glowered at me, "You are so annoying!" I cough and drank the water from his  glass.

"Oh but you love me."

"Shut up."
