The needle comes closer. He wants it to be visible. It is much sweeter this way. He relishes the moment that his unwilling companion sees the object nearing. It is always so amusing, their reactions. They are such predictable creatures. Always whimpering, always turning a few shades paler and just a touch green. Their behavior always amuses him terribly. Sometimes he wishes that they would act differently. Surprise him or shock him. It is getting a little monotonous. None the less he will take what he can.
The skin is pliable. One tough top layer, but the rest is soup. Soft and useless. Just one push. He hits bone and tendons. Shift left, shift right. The sweet piercing shrieks start again.
