Shauna's face became gloomy and he didn't speak for a while.
"That is why I think that I can actually help you. Consuming the Pill causes a lot of pain and I can help you alleviate it for now while slowly curing you" Knave assured.
"Really?" Shauna said a bit excitedly, she had thought that Knave was only tricking her before but now her depression immediately gave way to joy.
Clearly, the pain from this Pill was no laughing matter.
"I do not say things without meaning them, " Knave stated as he glanced at Shauna.
Of course, he had some type of prescription to alleviate this pain. This was because, in the past, he had researched a particularly powerful prescription to help his love from the previous world.
"This is very good! Very good!" Shauna said as she rubbed both of her hands together and impatiently looked at Knave.
"You seem to be very excited, but right now I don't have this medicine on me. It will take some time to gather them by myself. So, I will give you the list and you can collect them and bring it to me."
Hearing this, Shauna was a bit embarrassed. Not long ago, she had just threatened to kill him and also later accepted him as her master but now she was asking for his help.
"Still, tomorrow at noon, come to my abode's entrance and wait for me. If I have any task for you then I will tell you then as for the pain riding medicine I will deliver this medicine to you then, " Knave slowly started as he handed a slip with his home located on it.
"Okay, I will be there on time. Truly, thank you, Master" Shauna hurriedly responded as if she was afraid Knave might change his mind.
"My name is Knave and I am elder Fryer's assistant. Call me Junior Knave when anyone is around."
Knave, hearing "Master", felt it would be quite problematic if anybody else heard. So, he responded by giving this instruction to avoid any future problems.
Standing still, Knave watched Shauna's back grow more and more distant. Just now, he had made an appointment for tomorrow for Shauna to meet up. She gave Knave a farewell and left, saying she still needed to nurse herself.
Knave didn't try to investigate why she was taking such a medicine. Knave knew, now that she was under his command she would tell him when she felt necessary.
It seemed that, in the end, this "Senior Disciple Shaun" had some interesting story behind his current life, and she would suffer the consequences of it.
Only in the deepest despair and desperation would someone truly want to kill themselves. If her secret got leaked out, she would probably experience danger.
Shauna was grateful for Knave's discretion, that she did not question the origin of the Pill.
Even though Shauna didn't express this gratitude, Knave knew that he considered herself indebted.
Knave began to prepare to uphold his end of the bargain. As promised, not only would he keep his silence, he would return back to the market to buy the herbs and prepare the needed medicine.
His reasoning was simple. Since Shauna was not completely evil, shown by her hesitation when threatening him by doing this he was guaranteed to get a big return. In the future, if Knave ever needed her help, her pride would not allow him to refuse.
So he went back towards the market to buy the herbs. He knew the location of the market which was under Manuel's control so without any hesitation he went there.
