After giving it some more thorough Manuel nodded his head indicating he agreed to Ross's suggestion and said, "Since you say it so Brother Ross then today we should celebrate our net friendship with a feast.
As it turns out I was waiting here for Knave to come out so that I could throw him a party for his forgiveness about yesterday's matter and accepting me as a friend, so how about you join us as well." Manuel said while looking at Ross.
Then he turned to Knave and said, "Of course, only if Knave agrees" indirectly he made it so that the responsibility falls on Knave.
This was not out of bad intentions but of good because, before now they were in a debate in which they two were against Ross but now that they were looking to make friends they had to show some goodwill and as Knave was the main persona. If he was to accept Ross then all the previous conflict would be directly negated.
Ross looked towards Knave with anticipation, he knew that his value was quite less compared to Manuel and making friends with him for someone like Knave was of almost no benefits but he still held hope.
After some time of silence, Knave spoke, "I will agree only if Brother Ross can agree to my one condition like Manuel!"
Hearing this Manuel was quite relieved and he was even happy, but Ross, on the other hand, was getting frantic with his emotions because he could not anticipate what kind of request Knave would have for him.
Steeling his heart he asked, "Whatever request Brother Knave has this Ross would put his heart and soul to complete it, just instruct me, brother"
Hearing his oath many in the crowd were quite shocked as they had not thought this kind of turn of events.
Now even they wanted to know what kind of request Knave was going to make so that they can understand what exactly Manuel had done to make friends with him.
While they were anticipating for the request. Knave said, "I don't like all this honorific's among friends, as Manuel has already considered you as a friend and you don't mind having me as one then calling me Knave would do, as for you Ross would do"
Hearing his request the whole area was pin-drop silent, it was so quiet that they could hear their own breathing and heartbeat. They were looking at each other to confirm that they had heard the same thing.
Ross was even more astonished as he was the one who the request was made to. He had expected Knave to ask him to do some dangerous mission for him or buy him some rare things and many other unfavourable things that came to his mind.
But after hearing his request he was gobsmacked to even answer. He had already decided that no matter what kind of request came towards him he would directly answer 'YES' without any hesitation, but now.
He first took some deep breaths to calm himself down before he asked, "Are you sure that is your request Brother Knave?" he wanted to confirm it and make sure he wasn't hearing things.
"Of course, are you still not thinking of me as a friend!" Knave said, showing fake anger and making fist signs towards Ross.
Seeing this Ross did not know whether to laugh or cry. He could only look towards Manuel to understand the situation.
Manuel looked towards Ross, nodded his head and said, " Why don't you accept it, Ross, it's not like it's a very hard request is it?!"
He had also been in the same situation yesterday so he knew how funny and awkward such a situation was, but finding someone else in the same situation made him somehow happy.
