"Oh! so it's brother Ross. So, what can I do for you?" Knave asked in a very polite manner.
Seeing Knave behaving like this Ros. was internally quite satisfied, he thought finally somebody was showing him the respect he deserved after coming from such an influential clan.
"Brother Knave is being too polite. You can just call me Ross. What I wanted to talk to you about is that some people in this area who I do not wish to mention, are not up to standards of you brother Knave and such I was just trying to help you keep away from such pests." Ross said so in an overbearing tone while giving a disdainful glance to Manuel.
Hearing what Ross said the whole area became quite. All the people in the area directed their gaze towards Manuel to see what he had to say and whether or not he would try to defend himself.
They knew that the battle between gross and manner as the old one and nobody the two of them were ready to take a step back and solve this matter so they were quite used to Duo's battering.
But these were all the skirmish and conflicts that had taken place between some outer disciples which could not change much of the overall situation in the outer section.
But now that Knave has a connection with an elder with a high position which could change the whole situation if he would participate.
With that, any side that he chose had a higher chances to win, today it would seem the battle between Ross and Manuel would likely come to an end and they didn't want to miss it.
Ross had a very complacent look on his face when he looked at Manuel, seeing that in itself proved how much he hated him.
From the start of the competition of the herb garden, Manuel had been one step ahead of him and no matter how hard he tried he couldn't change the outcome.
He was also the son of the patriarch from his clan so he had quite a few competitors who were always looking to make him lose face in the clan so that their future path would be easier.
Before he came to the Academy every one in the younger generation of the clan would always talk politely to him and would never go against his wishes.
But then came his 10th birthday, after his awakening he was found out to have a 4th-grade spirit root, his father was happy and many of the elders we're also happy for his future progress and they even said that the future patriarch position was already his.
But then came the news, the grand elder of their clan had two grandchildren, a boy and a girl. They were twins and that year was also their awakening year and they had also awakened 4-grade roots.
But if that was all then it would have been good for him but the boy had not only awakened the 4th-grade spirit root but one of his root was of the 2 tier lightning type.
This was when various changes started to take place slowly but steadily the elders that used to support him started to have different thoughts and started to support his cousin.
He had thought that this was just a passing matter but this changed when one time his father had brought pills for his cultivation from an alchemist but these pills were taken away by the grand elder on the pretence that his grandson need it urgently.
By some luck when they were choosing Academy's to enrol in they were both sent into different academy's, his father had this given him the opportunity to take over the herb garden so that he could catch up with his cousin, but that was also ruined because of Manuel.
From his point of view, there was no difference between his cousin and Manuel who were both taking his things and blocking his future path.
