Satomi kept staring at me since I reached school and now she is sitting in front of me. Did my face look weird today or is there a pimple on my face?
"W-What?" I said
"Hmm...did you stay up late again?" Satomi said and touch her chin
"Yeah. How-" Before I could asked her again she cut me off
"I knew it! Thank you for your time. Well, then that's all. Hehehe~" She winked and left me
"What is wrong with her? Is..she trying to test me?" I said to myself and sigh
"Oh, really?"
I look at my left side. It's Yuta looking at me and smirking like an old man.
"You know nothing. Stop looking at me like that." I said
"Heh~ You look intresting." He said and smirked
I ignored him. Please I don't want him to sit beside me and darn it! I can't change my seat anymore.
"Yuta-kun~"
I look at the girl who called out Yuta name and it's the girl from yesterday. She saw me and give me a death stare. What's wrong with her actually?
So, I look at them talking at the doorway and thank god he is gone somewhere with her now. So that's mean no one will disturb me now. I wanted to read some novel before class start.
"Mi-zu-no~" Shin whispered to my ear when I'm reading
"Hey! Stop doing that. It tickles me everytime you did that. Just call me normally, can you?" I said to Shin
"Hahaha! Kawaii na~" Shin said
"Stop it! " I pinched his arm
"O-Ow!! Okay okay!! I won't tease you anymore!! I'm sorry!!" He begged me to stop pinched him
I stopped and he came near me.
"Would you mind if we go to the public library this saturday after class?" He said with a serious look on his face
"Why so sudden?" I said
"Well, I want you to tutor me again." He said and smile
"For what? Aren't you smart yourself?" I said
"Unlike you, I do have subject that I'm weak at. Please? Oh! I promise I will not tease you again." Shin said
"What if I say no?" I said
"Aww, please don't." He said
"Silly. Sure why not~" I said and smile
"Oh yes! Looking forward to it!" He said and went back to his seat while smiling wide.
This is actually not the first time he asked me to tutor him, he was actually not really good at Japanese History. But he is a fast learner not like Satomi, she is slow to catch up all the thing that I've teached her. That's why I'm willing to tutor Shin without thinking twice.
"Mizuno-san, could you please read this story for us?" English teacher said to me
"Sure. Once upon a time..." I started reading.
"On her last day, she said to herself, 'I would love to look at the sunset again for the last time.' After that, she sleep eternally."
"Excellent! Thank you, Mizuno san. So what is the lesson..."
Well, this story look similar to my life. Lonely and temporarily being loved, I could totally feel what she felt and imagine it to be on her place.
How wonderful if I can actually live with her because she will understand me and I will understand her. If I could, it will be really wonderful.
"The lesson that I learn in this story is we shouldn't consider others help does not effect in our life but their helping hand is what we actually need."
"Yeah, I agree with that. But, who said that?" I said in mind
"What a lovely opinion! Thank you, Fujiwara san. " Teacher said
I looked at him. I can't believe that he was the one that said something like that. What he said just now gave me some courage to myself. But still, I hate him.
On the next day, it's saturday. We have to go to school but it was just half period of the time than our usual school period. No class for today because its the first week of school. So it's just the principal giving a long speech in the morning assembly and an after class club activity for 2 and a half hours.
I was in the swimming club. So I changed in to my school swimming suit.
*Message tone ringing*
"Oh.. It's Shin." I said to myself
[I'll wait for you at the school entrance gate. Don't be late! ( • ̀ω•́ ) - Ono Shin]
"Tch... What if I late huh?" I said to myself again
[Alright. (￣.￣) - Mizuno]
"That should do." I said to myself and went swimming.
After club activities end, I changed in to my school uniform, packed my thing and make my way to the school entrance gate.
I looked at my phone and I've been waiting for Shin for 15 minutes.
"Well, who is the one that late now huh?" I said to myself while waiting for Shin
"Mizuno!"
I look around to search for where the voice came from and its Shin.
"I'm sorry, I'm late, I need to discuss something with the team member. So, lets go?" He said
"Sure but you need to treat me for dinner today because I've been standing here for too long just to wait for you." I said
"No worries, I will!" He said and smiled
So we went to the train station to go to the public library. On our way there, Shin and I didn't talk much. I don't really have idea what topic to talk. So I just let it be.
"Mizuno." Shin said
"Yeah?" I said
"Are you shy?" Shin said
"No, what makes you think that way?" I said
"Nothing, just asking because you didn't say anything." He said
"Silly." I said and smiled.
So we have been in the library for 3 hours and turns out that Shin understood all of the things that I teached him.
"Hmph~~ I'm already tired. So what you want to eat? " Shin said
"Ramen." I said
So we go to the Ramen shop that we usually go after school when we are still in junior high.
"Itadakimasu~!" We said in unison
"Yumm~" Shin said while smiling
"It's been a while since we last visit this shop together, right?" I said
"Yup, 2 years ago I guess." He said and slurps his noodles
"Yeah..I miss that moment, now its just the 2 of us." I said and looking at my Ramen while thinking back of that moment.
Actually, sometimes Shin and I and another 2 of our friends from junior high would eat here after school. But after we got into high school, we lost contact with them.
"You know what, if you need someone to accompany you, I'm here." He said
"Thank you, Shin. But, I'm really used to with my life now without them." I said
"I see. That's great then." Shin said and smiled
Shin knew about my family problems. He and Satomi were the one that help me a lot.
After we are done eating, Shin walked me home.
"Thank you for today, Mizuno." Shin said
"You're welcome and thank you for the food too, Shin." I said and smiled
"Well, see you on Monday then." Shin said and wave goodbye to me
"See you too. Be safe on your way home!" I said and wave to him too
Once I got into my home, I feel empty again. Actually, I'm still not used of being alone. I need to stop lying to myself and I wanted to proof to everyone that I'm okay of being alone. I guess so?
