Julia headed over to table number five with a pen and notebook ready to take down the orders. "Hello! What can I get for you guys?"
The customers smirked and whispered to each other.
"Umm do you need a Moment to decide?"
One of the girls spoke
"No, there's no need for that, but can we please get another waiter...someone who looks more, you know..presentable"
Julia stood there, holding back the tears in her eyes.
"Oh...uh sure, I will get you someone else then..."
Julia rushed back to the kitchen
"Julia, mija did you get the table I told you?
"No ma, it's always the same with everyone"
"What do you mean? What's gotten into you?"
"You know, people don't want me to take orders from them because...I'm not thin, they always want someone who's pretty and skinny."
