Daren's men outnumber Croix men. But as a measure of precaution, half of his men were surrounding the camp to make sure none escape alive.
Morgan was killing his way towards the center building. His each swing reaped one life. He was quite above the level of these men.
"Those who have killed their target, go back and reinforce the circle outside the camp. Don't let anyone escape."
Morgan commanded as he rushed towards the largest building at the center, where he knew Lord Daren and his main targets were. He finally reach the building. He broke the door open with a kick.
"Lord" , Screamed Morgan, as soon as he entered the huge hall and saw that a sword was about to pierce the throat of Lord Daren. He rushed towards Lord Daren. But he knew he wouldn't make it in time.

Rodolf's sword was aimed at Daren's throat. He planned to end it with one strike.
Daren was weakly standing there. Rudolf's sword was inches away from piercing him. At that moment Daren smiled.
Rudolf saw that smile and he suddenly had a feeling of forboding. In his rage, he has attacked with all his might. And even if his instincts told him to stop, he couldn't do so. His momentum couldn't be stopped now.
"Boom"
A large sound was heard as the door of the hall was kicked open followed a man's scream. Rudolf knew that the person who just arrived was one of the Prince's men.
But still, he didn't moves his eyes off Daren. He felt that he heard Daren mutter in a very faint voice... "Switch."
Rudolf's sword pierced the throat of his target, killing him instantly. But the person who died wasn't Daren it was Croix who switched place with him.
When they were talking to each other and stalling for time, Daren moved his shadow from person to person, untill it reached Croix.
Seeing that the Lord has used his ability, Morgan rushed towards the man Daren was just fighting. Obstructing him from harming Daren any further.
Morgan and Rudolf were then engaged in a fierce fight. They both were of the same rank so the winner couldn't be decided in few exchanges.
Barely a minute has passed since Daren was poisoned. But he was losing control fast. He could barely control his body.
The advantage in numbers did proved helpful. Daren could see all the fights were coming to an end, except the one Morgan was fighting. Their fight was still intense. Neither of the two were giving each other an inch.
Now Daren was thinking of a plan to bring this fight to an end quickly as well. He knew he would loose his ability to speak or see in few moments. It then suddenly hit him.
' A type of poison can make me lose sense and affect my mental sphere. But also a higher mental energy can do the same. So what if I don't have poison. If I could send my mental energy to collide with his mental sphere, I would destabilize his mind. That would be enough for Morgan to end this fight.'
Daren closed his eyes and begin thinking of ways to implement his theory. He open his eyes after few moments. He then looked towards his left hand which was still holding the needle that struck him. Daren smiled
Daren willed his mental energy to manifest outside his body. It took all his concentration to just bring a thin strand of energy out. He was struggling to keep his concentration. Daren noticed that Rudolf wasn't paying attention to him. He was glad.
Rudolf was being pressured by Morgan constantly. He couldn't loose his focus, for a moment of carelessness can claim his life. Also Rudolf had seen the effects of the poison that Croix used on Daren during his various deadly encounters in the past and thus he new how potent it was. Thus he didn't think that Daren could retaliate. Which Daren obviously didn't knew.
Daren carried the needle with his mental energy. He kept the needle inches above the ground, so that it do not garner attention. He moved the needle closer to their fight.
When he felt he was close enough, he covered the needle with his mental energy, increasing its penetration power. And as soon as Rudolf was at the right position, he lunged the needle in the back of his head.
As soon as the needle pierced his head, Daren willed all the mental energy he could muster to attack Rudolf's mental sphere. The needle became the link to Rudolf's mental sphere. Wave after wave crashed at his mental sphere, shaking it.
~Outside Rudolf's body~
Morgan and Rudolf clashed again. Both were pushed back. After gaining balance, both rushed back with even more vigour. Suddenly, Rudolf felt something piercing his head from the back, before he could register where the attack came from, his mental sphere shook. He felt pressure which he tried to resist, but it was followed by pain, like of which he had never experienced before.
Morgan saw that the man suddenly fell to the ground, crying in pain. And he did not let this change go to waste. With a swing of his Saber he pierced the heart of Rudolf.
Against the pain he was suffering, this strike came as a relief. Rudolf body went limp.
The fight was over. They won. Morgan rushed to kill remaining enemies and then rushed towards Daren.
"Lord, are you ok?" asked Morgan. He has a panicked and concerned expression on his face.
"Calm down. Make.. sure you kill everyone. Release...people. Loot...Rudolf's body and the area...of anything important. And then head...back to our home." Replied Daren with a hoarse voice. He was having trouble speaking.
The poison's effect were increasing. His ability to hear, sense of touch, his vision and his speech all were being affected.
Morgan acknowledged Daren's order and looted Rudolf's body of everything he possessed.
Morgan ordered his men to loot the base and free these men.
"You are now free to go. We need to hurry back so you have to reach your home yourself. Farewell."
Morgan said to the captives after freeing them. He then picked up Daren and prepared to leave.
Morgan got to know from some of the men who were with Daren, that Daren has been poisoned. And that it would not kill him, but will just rob him of his senses. But even if this would not kill Daren, he knew that Daren was in pain. So he wanted to rush back as fast as he can.
"Wait" shouted someone from the crowd of people he just saved. But before Morgan could leave, he was interrupted again.
