Chapter 4 - Lost Angels

Los Angeles. The city on the coast. A major stop in our little team's journey. A place that Nana would like to forget.

"Why we have to come here?" shrugged Nana.

"We have to stock up for our adventure. And to get some information about the border crossing." retorted Sasha.

A heavy sigh left Nana's lips.

The city of Los Angeles was not a huge city like in those of the east coast. Small approximately 1500 lived here. Still, way bigger then the small mining city that they used to live in. The streets are clean, layed with setts of stone. The shops filled with all sorts of goods, and not only just the bare minimum. People walked up and down while the three of them slowly rode the horses.

"Stop here." pointed Sasha at a horse stop.

Nana and Richard got down from the equestrians and with a little help Sasha too.

"Alright." walked Sasha before the two, resting her two hands on the cane like proper english gentleman.

"Richard you go and buy rations that do not spoil soon. Cookies, honey, salt and lots of alcohol, buy don't wander off completely. There is a shop here. Remain here!" Demanded Sasha.

"Now sister! Buy weapons, the more the better!"

"Yeah..." Responded Nana unsurely.

"And what will you do? Asked Richard.

"I am going for a walk and trying to make friends." with this Sasha wobled forward, slowly but surely disappearing into the crowd. The two soon followed her example and went for their respective work.

After a few minutes of wandering Nana found the gun shop. The shopkeeper was a middle aged man with some grey spots in his hair.

"Good afternoon Mam'! How can i help you?" Said the shopkeeper with a warm smile.

"Good afternoon Gentleman! I would like to buy weapons!" Said Nana with the same smile back.

"Alright!" Exclaimed the shopkeeper descending from the slightly raised podium.

"Here is the cataloge. Here you can chose different guns and weapons, or is there a specific design Mam'?" said the shopkeeper waiting for the answer.

"Hmm.. I would like to take some time if it's not a problem." responded Nana.

"Please be my guest. You can sit there on the waiting chairs."

Nana went and sit down. Pages of Pages of weapons nothing really catched her mind. Nothing excites her. Just boring average weapons one after one other. She found a Remington for her little sister.

"This one Remington! Also a lot of ammunition. Nana shouted.

"Good choice mam! It cost around....149.99 dollars." Said the shopkeeper.

For a second Nana stopped breathing.

"Fine...Is gold acceplable? I don't have that much cash on my hand." Said Nana.

"Yes." said back the shopkeeper.

Nana pulled out from her coat a stone roughly the size of her fist. Puts on the table. The shopkeeper went to the back of the building. Nana curiously peaking into the back and sees a large safe where the guns kept. After a minute later the shopkeeper returns with the weapons. He gave it to her and she already left. She put the remington on her back.

After a while of walking and searching for the two. She found a familiar looking face. A face that she want to forgot. A man in his late 20's above than average height but still smaller than Nana, and rather slim posture. Rather nice clothes, but not as fancy as Richard's.

Nana trying to pass without getting noticed. Went forward. Putting her hands in to her pockets and hunching forward slightly.

(don't notice me, don't notice me,)

All going through her head.

"Dirty chinese....workers rotting....the air here!" Said by the guy to himself.

Nana after successfully passing the guy left a sigh of relive. A memory of past that she would like to forget.

After a while she found Sasha with a satchel full of books.

"I am not surprised." Said Nana in a bored tone.

"Well, you can teach an old dog new tricks."

Responded Sasha.

"You are not even old..." Said Nana confused.

"Anyway..." Continues Nana.

"Where is that bloodsucker?" Asked Nana.

"I didnt seen him for a while..." Said Sasha slowly.

"Brilliant..." Then she continoued.

From the moment she said that Richard emerged.

"For God's sake Richard! Don't leave us like this!

Shouted Nana at Richard.

"Huuh why?" asked Richard dumbfoundedly.

" 'Couse your are hunted!" Shouted Nana at the man.

After a sight Sasha continued.

"Did you bought what we need?"

"Yes..." Responded Richard.

"Good." After a brief second she continued.

"Pack the food...Also Nana!"

"Hmm?"

"Bought the guns?" Asked Sasha.

"Yes..Yes a Remington! And a lot of ammo enough to shoot ourselves through America two times!

"Only one gun? Said Sasha in dissapointment.

"This is for you!" Said Nana.

"You know i am not a fan of guns sister."

"It's either you or the bloodsuc.."

"I'll take it." Said Sasha in an instant.

"Really?" Responded Richard sarcasticly.

"I knew it! It was you! I can't forget those rice eyes of yours!" Said a voice from a distance.

The three looked in the direction where the voice came from and saw the man Nana encountered before.

"Fuck off William....I don't want to do anything with you..for you... " responded Nana in a deep tone. A lot deeper then her usual sarcastic voice.

"Ohh but i want...to meet you! Maybe you can work at my field...or you know cook for me....But you have changed! I tip my.

..hat for that! You...grown...you expanded in the...right directions! Too bad you... you are yellow...i would have liked if you...birth my children! Said William with a lot of pauses.

"Hey!" Shouted Richard.

"I might not be the most gentleman. But even i know you dont speak to a woman like this." Said Richard moving in front of Nana.

Nana Without a word, just pushed aside Richard and slowly walked toward the man. When she was directly infront of him she towered over her looking down at the man with anger and disgust.

"What you are gona do kiss me?" Said William sarcasticly.

Nana with all her might punched William in the jaw. It was so hard yet so perfect punch that William went to fly..Literally. He went above the ground approximatelly 100ft into the air spitting out his teeth in the meantime.

The man fell on the ground neither dead or alive. The commoners flocked to the place all worried of what happened.

"That's for avoiding attention." Said Sasha.

"We are heading out..." Said Nana.

"Bu..."

Sasha put her hands before Richard gently.

Then she Continued.

"This is the only time you don't want to fuel the fire..."

"Whaat?" Responded William in confusion.

"You will understand!" shouted Sasha then after a brief second continued.

"Anyway we should follow Nana and get back to the horses and move." Followed Sasha.

The three went to the horses while Nana still on the verge of explosion. The day followed by darkness.. They didn't sleeped in a Motel only the dirt. Nana went to sleep quickly without a word.. Not a point out sarcasm or a witty one line joke nothing.

It was a quiet night.

Only the coyotes can be heard, Miles Away in this cold desert.
