Gio Tocca was about to take a drink from the barman when she got starttled with a gunshot. He hand shook and dropped the glass but before the glass could touch the ground it was shot into a million pieces. It was in that second that she knew what fear felt like. She felt paralyzed at the core with fear.
Before she knew it she was being pulled by Lesley, one of Quince most trusted friend and associate. She and Les crawled around under the tables and chairs with Les protecting Gio with his body.
Gio was so scared she started thinking about her mother and granmother, Alexander Gergana and Ronda Williams and her whole shot life. She felt her heart drop into her stomach when she thought of her unknown father.
So I'm gonna die without knowing my biological father? Sadness covered her like a glove. Les pushed away some random table and removed the rug that was under it and tapped twice on some button and a screen popped up. He typed some complicated code and the ground opened up, and stairs going down showed up.
He told her to go down the stairs, and she just followed instinctively. She turned wanting to ask him to follow her but he had already closed the opening.
Gio continued walking down the stair cautiously and when she got the last step the lights automatically switched on. There a single door infront of her and she opened it. It was a nicely furnished room with screens all over and doors that led to different rooms.
She was so scared she didn't know what to do with herself, she kept sitting and standing and sitting and standing. She took out her phone to call Quince but it kept ringing unanswered, different type of consiperacy ideas popped up in her head, scaring her all the more. She was scared, sweating and cold. She kept hugging herself in between trying to call Quince.
30 minutes later.
She heard noise outside the main door and she ran to it and opened the door before the people outside could. It was Quincewith Cy and his clothing were drenched in blood. She looked closer then realised the blood wasn't his, it was for the man they were holding up. It was Lesley.
He had been shot.
They brought him in and opened one of the doors and put him on the bed.
"Please tell me he will be fine he saved my life" Gio said anxiously with tears in her eyes. "He will be fine" Quince answered solemnly.
"But he's bleeding! Quince!" Gio said as he looked at the man who saved her life fighting for his life on the bed.
"Yes, babe, he will be fine, I promise" Quince reassured her as he tried to touch her cheek and she cleverly dogged it. Quince felt a premonition coming. He took out his phone and made a phone call to someone. Then he made another phone call and said "Twigs, call the cleaners. About 8guys of Spider's man are down and Les was shot"
Spider? Gio's bells screamed. Wasn't that the man who came to the palour?
"Who is Spider?" Gio snarled, but Quince cut her off gently and told her it wasn't the time. But she kept asking, so Quince looked at her in the eyes and said "babe not now please"
"Even when he told me he'll pay you a visit after the spinning show?" Gio asked curtly
"What?!" Quince and Cy both asked in shock at the same time.
