The planets surface has changed much since the apocalypse began. Humans have escaped to the moon since the tenth year. Many years have past since but the earth has always been dark. The only places not so dark are the mountains areas and a few large forest in south America and Africa.

The dark creatures that arrived at the beginning of the apocalypse were only small devils that turned humans to zombies. And while they turned some animal into zombies as well, most devils actually awakened the animals ancester boodline.

The devil race is said to come from an ancient tomb opened after an 8 degree quake off the shore of California.

These ancestral animals became the forgotten dinosaur, mammoths, timber wolves, the giant creatures that eventually began to mutate and control elements in the third year. While the small devils that made them ended up as either the next on the menu or ran away in fear.

While the devils in the first few years had a habit of killing all bugs and any creature with scales, fish, lisards, snakes and bugs extinct. They had also tryed to kill the scaled dinosaurs many had become extinct again, especially the rhino turned three-horn.

The third year zombies evolved and ate their creators the devils. Since the zombies to devil ratio 500:1 many mutant zombies ganged up on devils. At first the devils used the zombies to cause chaos so humans didn't notice their numbers depleting until they were all gone. Making the zombies less organized. Many zombies that ate them evolved becoming vampires, ghouls, elemental zombies, and skeleton creatures.

The dark creatures had a habit of staying clear of large forests and mountains after the devils where gone. As many large creatures made them their habitat. Humans had tried settling their but most just couldn't contend with the ancient creature. In fact only a few small African tribes managed to survive in their jungles.

With no other way to survive many humans had evolved to use elements. But this only helped for another four years, when the leaders noticed a black fog that started changing people into these dark creature. The forest also started mutating as well, leaving no place safe enough to live.

With no other way to survive on earth the first evacuation started from major city's, to travel to the moon and set up colonies there. In fact many humans with prestigious background had already evacuated with the first dark creature horde that ruined almost four big survival bases.

Settling on the moon took about two years with travel between being cut off as soon as all necessary supplies needed for 10 to 20 years. The plan was to travel to earth forests every five to ten years for more supplies. The population of humans ended up being only five hundred thousand and some.

While the African tribes that could survive began to tame timber wolves and giant panthers, with thier abilitys. In fact after living off tree sap, and plant life they began to mutate too. Many who read fantasy stories would call them elves except that their dark skin had taken a greenish tinge.

Now as the years go by on earth, the black fog or miasma, kept increasing as the Dark creatures and the Ancient animals battled every time they met. While this was happening sometime during the 40th year since the apocalypse began, the miasma near mount Kilimanjaro started to affect the three volcanic cores.

And here is where our story starts.
