The surgery lasted for almost 8 hours. The sky had started to turn dark by the time the door of the operation theatre opened.
When Maxim stepped out of the operation theatre, his eyes spotted Logan who was still standing at the same spot where he had last seen him in the morning.
At this time, Alex also walked out. Unlike Maxim who appeared just a tad bit tired, Alex was sporting a pale face and dark under eyes. There was a purplish bruise forming on his jaws due to the punch that one of Louis' elite guards threw at him.
Coincidentally, the mark from Maxim's punch happened to be on the same place on the other side of his face and that was yet to fade. So with two glaring bruises on either side of his face, Alex looked rather comical yet pathetic.
