By the time they reached Silver Regency, Diana had dozed off on the passenger seat. She still had the pastry spoon dangling from her mouth as she slept with her lips parted.
Maxim removed the spoon from her mouth, the empty box, and the water bottle from her lap and put them away. Alighting the car, he walked to the other side and carefully carried her out of the car.
Diana stirred in his arms. She yawned, ''Are we back?"
''Yes,'' Just when he thought she was about to open her eyes, she yawned again and burrowed her face in his chest comfortably.
''My books..'' Diana mumbled.
Maxim was speechless. He reminded himself that it was not good for his mental health to feel petty over some non-living things.
When they reached her place, it was Ivy who opened the door for them. Since it was past midnight, Angel was fast asleep already.
Ivy's jaw dropped when she saw Maxim holding Diana in a bridal carry.
