Chapter 6 - Chapter 5: Lost in Enzak

"Enzak?!"

Wasn't that the first love event location from the Moon Princess Saga otome game?

She crouched down on the ground, breathing heavily. What in the world is going on? Was there a place named Enzak on earth? She did not think so. Then was it a convenient coincidence that she was near a place named exactly after a location of a game she played?

All her knowledge about transmigration came crashing down on her. It could not be, right?

Only one way to find out.

Ten minutes later, a young girl with dirty brown hair and clothes stumbled into Enzak, a common border town which boasted of progress it did not possess.

Two thick bunches of brown hair framed her pale face, while the rest of it was tied into a low ponytail at the back of her head. While she looked poorly, her bright hazel orbs held great curiosity and innocence as she looked at the lights and sounds of the bustling crowd, her head turning left and right excitedly as if it was the first time she had come to town.

The townspeople disdained how she looked, but could not bear or care to throw harsh words at the otherwise fragile-looking young girl. No one was with her either, so she had no caretaker despite her youthfulness.

How could such a young girl fend off the dangers of the night if left alone?

Sure enough, they soon saw a drunk and lewd man ambling up to her arrogantly. He stood in front of her and leered into her pretty eyes. The girl paused in her footsteps and stared back in fear, ready to run.

But unknown to the townspeople, Libitina was not scared.

When she finally saw the lights and bustle of Enzak, Libitina had been struck with a horrid premonition that her fears had come true. The Enzak in front of her eyes were the same as the descriptions and digital art in the game. She felt an immense urge to turn around and run from this absurd reality, but where else could she go?

The European styled town however did not fail to amaze her as she started to analyse the cultural influences in the architecture and immerse in the total sensory enjoyment of being in a foreign town. Even for an otome game, the details were awesome~

Then a foreign-looking man came to her view.

What the heck? The stench!

She stiffened and held her breathe to avoid being impolite. But when she felt him scanning herself with his lewd eyes, her heart dropped and she raised her guard instinctively. It proved to be the right decision as she managed to dodge the drunk man's sudden attempt to grab her arm.

In her shock, she let out a fierce reprimand.

"Sir, what are you doing!?"

"What do you think I am doing, fair maiden?"

Oh, at least they speak the same language. His voice was slurred, the result of intoxication. But it did not excuse his barbaric intention towards her.

"Back off!" Libitina's tone hardened when she saw he was still approaching her.

"Ha? Back off? Little maiden, what are you thinking of? I am just trying to help you out here. See this?" he took out a weird coin from his pocket clumsily and showed it to her. "I'll give this to you if you follow me. It's a good deal, ain't it? Right, fellas?"

He turned to smile languidly at a group of men behind him, who were sitting on the bottom of the stairway. With beer bottles in their hands, they leered back unpleasantly, and one of them even began to hoot insultingly, as if taunting the drunk smelly man for being slow in getting the girl. The latter laughed and turned back to Libitina.

'What…are you seriously bribing me with a gritty coin?' Libitina cursed inwardly as her danger alarm began blaring, and she tried to walk away. The drunk man saw her move and tried to grab her arm again, and Libitina's eyes widened in shock when she realized she could not dodge in time.

This time, however, someone intervened.

"That's enough."

A young male voice sounded.

When Libitina looked up, all she saw was a strong back in front of her and the drunk man's arm being caught by the stranger. The drunk man was evidently agitated as he tried to wring his hand free, but the stranger's strength was too much for him to do any damage. Disheartened, the drunk man finally relaxed his behaviour, and the stranger released his arm.

As the drunk man returned to his friends reluctantly, Libitina's saviour turned around and she finally saw his face.
