Walking into my everyday job, I was a little down. Just a normal day. Nothing interesting in my monotonous life, walk into work, sit down in my cubicle and work. Filing paperwork day in and day out. My boss walks into the office and calls for everyone's attention, "There are going to be some changes around here! We are merging into a bigger company and the departments are going to undergo massive changes. People may be let go and some may get promotions, make sure to work your hardest during this hard time!"
'Great, just what I need. A chance to get fired, exactly what I need to make my life so much better.' I think sarcastically. Not much will change, there isn't a way to work harder here, just do what work is given to you and you'll be fine. I originally thought getting a degree in accounting is what I wanted, but the more I did it the more I despised numbers and math. Finishing my work I decide to go get some food at Nacdomalds, on my way there I get a bad feeling. I look up in the air and see a giant black hole.
Before I know it there is a screen that appears in front of me, accompanying the screen is a booming voice that reads said screens.

'Great, now the worlds going to end, some Monday this is!' I sigh and start quickly moving towards my house, no matter what I won't let him die alone. I quickly dodge through the crowd and dodge cars when crossing the street, It seems like everyone is in a panic. Running as fast as I could without running into people or dying, I made it home. I quickly bolted inside and called out "George!" as I yell out, a black and white border collie comes running around a corner, sliding on the hardwood flooring.
I promptly pick up George and pet him, "I'm sorry, little guy" I don't know if animals know what is going to happen, but I at least want to be with him when the world ends. I grab a bag of dog treats out of the cupboard and start feeding them to George, at least he'll die happy. I start to cry, George was the only thing I had left, I had no friends, and my immediate family is dead. I know, sad right?
