Early the next morning, Mo Ning and her mother got up and as usual took turns to take a shower after which they prepared a simple breakfast of porridge and steamed dumplings.
After eating, they both started to pack up the remaining things they left out the previous day like their bathroom supplies and some of the dishes they left for this morning's use.
By the time they finished packing everything, the moving truck had arrived and with the help of the moving guys, they loaded all of their furniture into the truck and Mo Ning got in the truck with them to help them get in the apartment when they got there.
Since it was still early, the traffic was a little on the heavy side. Even though it was the weekend, some people still had places to go like family vacations or trips, people returning back home from work after a week without their family or some other things.
After a few hours on the road, they finally arrived there at thirty past eleven. It took an entire hour for them to unload and take the furniture into the apartment and it took two whole hours for them to assemble and arrange the furniture. By the time they were done, it was way past time for lunch.
They wanted to go grab lunch before going back to retrieve the rest of the stuff but Mo Xiaye called Mo Ning to tell her she already had lunch ready;so they all entered the truck and drove back to the apartment.
When they got there, they all sat around the table and ate together. After eating, they rested for a while before they began putting the rest of their things into the truck. They made sure they had packed everything before locking the door and then Mo Ning accompanied her mother to go return the keys to the landlord.
They rang the doorbell for a while before the landlord's wife opened the door. She was startled to see them both at her door but nevertheless, she invited them in.
" Good afternoon. Are you here for my husband? " She asked the earlier surprise gone from her expression.
" Not exactly. We just want to return these keys since we already moved all of our things out of the apartment. " Mo Xiaye said dangling the keys she was holding in front of her.
" Oh, I didn't know you were moving out. "
" Yes we are, and the movers are waiting for us. Please help me give this to your husband." Mo Xiaye said handing over the keys to the lady.
"Alright I will. "
" Thanks. " After handing the key over, they both left and got into the truck.
Since one more person was joining them, one of the men sat at the back with the luggage. This time, it only took them an hour and half for them to get to the apartment and after unloading and helping them take their belongings in, the movers collected the rest of their pay before leaving the mother daughter duo alone.
