In a secluded alley of the United Federation, Year 2917, an investigator from the Special Cases Division of the Security Bureau was confronting a rather pale but healthy teenager who seemed to be no older than 15.
"Lindor Rindt, we have been observing your movements very strictly and have discovered your misdoings, please allow yourself to be restrained and escorted to the closest Security Bureau branch station."
"Oh. Such swiftness and decisiveness, as expected of the Security Bureau's Nimblefoot. However, I don't think I will be coming in quietly like you expect."
"You have no chance of escaping. Despite being a Level 3 Spatial-Type Manipulator, we've already brought a Level 4 of the same type already. Give up and let yourself be taken quietly, otherwise lethal force shall be used. As a traitor of the Broken Eye cult, you will be given a short amount of time to confess and spill out whatever secrets you hold before being terminated. You only have two choice now, either be killed by those fanatics or be killed by us. Choose!"
"I don't think I have to choose, William Griffins, son of Gantz Griffins and Amelia Bright, current father to two sons and a soon-to-be daughter and the current successor to Security Bureau's Vice-Chief Branton Glint."
"Ho-how do you know that?! Whatever, since you refuse, then we shall execute you immediately! I give full permission to use lethal force on the suspect. Use full force!"
With that command, hundreds of bullets sprayed out to crush Lindor. The storm of bulletfire would've killed any mutant but they seem to be deflected by an invisible concave force around Lindor.
"Men, continue firing! I, as Commander of the 6460th battalion requests for additional backup!", yelled William as he yelled at the portable terminal under his neck.
If it weren't for the concentrated sound of bullets being fired and then ricocheted into nearly concrete, then an audible "Access Granted!" would have been heard but sadly that was muffled down to nothing.
"I've had enough fun playing with you clowns. In the name of the Eye, I summon thee towards this new enticing meal of yours. This devout believers swears his soul and pledges it to fulfil the contract of summoning. My Almightly, please descend to protect your pure believer from these sinful heretics!" said Lindor as he took out a dagger and cut his arm before dripping the blood onto the bottom of a small statuette's and then taking out a scroll and stamping on the scroll using the statuette.
This chanting of Lindor was unfortunately drowned out, however, the contract seemed to work as something seemed to materialise out of the scroll. It possessed a pair of slightly curved, long, black horns and appeared to be humanoid but whatever it was, everybody could feel the tingling sense of fear down from their bones. Their blood immediately started pumping rapidly closing into that of cardiac arrest but it stopped just before reaching the limit. Whatever the hell this new thing was, it certainly didn't seem optimistic for those of the Security Bureau. Lindor had already lain on the floor, groveling around like a dog in front of his owner.
"My Lord has sent an envoy to save this believer?! I am utterly grateful! In this situation where my life is worthless, my Lord still sent someone to grant me salvation. I am endlessly grateful. May I have the honor of knowing this Esteemed One's name?"
"This Faithful One's name cannot be uttered in the Ordinary Tongue but it can still be heard. It is Greyha*?mil. Under the lord's watchful eyes, He has sent me to help you tide over the first of your Calamities."
"I will gratefully accept my Lord's arrangements and will repay it with my future efforts. "
"It's good that you understand that. The cycle of choice and effect is a law of causality in which the subject participating has to follow the rules, otherwise suffering the consequence. Now, I shall get rid of these specks of dust from my Lord's plate!"
By now, reinforcements nearby had shown up, bolstering the number of Security Bureau agents there from a Squad to a Platoon. Number of agents coalescing there seemed to be 40. Each holding anti-material rifles while the leaders held their own preferred weapons, one of them even holding a dagger made from Y1 type compressed metal composite. However, a moment later, they all disappeared, all vanished, as if nothing was there. What happened wasn't an attack, it wasn't even a movement. Just a mere thought. And IT manifested.
"Wha-what happened?"
"I just had a thought, that's all. A thought that there wasn't anything around me except the grace of our Lord and you."
*Gulp*
Hearing this, naked respect and awe grew in immense proportions within Lindor.
"Now, the contract is fulfilled, you now have 2 options. The first one is to continue serving our Lord's causes in this world and His intentions with utmost servitude. If you choose this option, our Lord has decided to give you an aiding gift. The second option is to serve our Lord within His Kingdom. If you choose this option, you will have to die before I take your soul along with me to meet the Lord."
"I earnestly beg the Divine Envoy to allow me to serve the Lord with my meager capabilities in His Kingdom."
And with that, the two of them disappeared from this world. As if they never existed there in the first place.
