Kapis Dimension.
Junior landed his aircraft on an empty field nearby the village due to some safety concerns. After a short consideration, the trio decided to enter the village hoping to get some information for the lost kingdom from the villagers, they are leaving Ruby in the aircraft for her safety. As soon as they stepped into the village, they immediately noticed that something is wrong with this village. In this small village with a population of less than fifty people, from newborn infants to old folks, all of the villagers seem to be having some serious malnutrition. Furthermore, those villagers don't seem to be quite friendly, as Junior was trying to inquire about the situation of the village, they ignored him and some even started chasing them away from the village with sticks and hoes.
However, this group of villagers doesn't realise the existence of that God of Misfortune... I mean... When there is violence, there will be some accidents. Due to their frail and thin body, one of the men that are chasing away the trio loses his balance due to the aggressive stick-swinging movement. As soon as the man fell to the ground, the other man hastily distanced away from him as if he is a grenade that will explode in anytime.
Just as the trio are curious about the action of the villagers, some greenish roots suddenly emerge from the soil and started tangling the fallen man as he hysterically yelling for help, while the villagers just closed their eyes to avoid seeing that terrifying scene. A bit triggered by the scenes, Chris reached his hand to the man and pulled him up from the ground before disintegrating the vine with his overwhelming magic flow as the vine and roots switched their target to Chris.
After Chris saved that man, except for the man himself, no one in the village seems to be thankful for Chris's deed, or rather they are quite angry about it and some even started swearing at them, but none of them dares to get near of them except for the man Chris just saved who clumsily and nervously invited the trio to his house...
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
As soon as they reached the man's house which is a small hut that is not far from the location of the accident, they are greeted by a heavily pregnant woman who later hugged that man in tears, apparently, that woman is the man's wife. The woman told the man that she almost thought that she had lost him to the blood-lusting plant.
"Blood lusting plant?" Chris asked, rather curious.
"Well... By right, I shouldn't be telling anything to an outsider like you but after that accident just now, I believe I have been rejected by this village and I should have no different from you anymore." said the man who makes the trio even more confused...
As everyone seated down around a small table, the man started telling the trio about the past of the village.
According to the man, this village had been maimed by a powerful blood-lusting plant for decades. From secretly absorbing their nutrients through some unknown way that caused a serious malnutrition in the whole village to directly attacks any villagers with their roots, especially when someone makes a wide direct contact with the ground like what happened to the man just now.
"But can't all the villagers just move away from the village? Since this is obviously not a place that is suitable for living." Junior asked, rather curious.
"Well, to be frank, I tried once but soon realised that it is not as simple as that. Not long after I got out of the village, I became very sick and have a strong urge to return to this village despite knowing how scary those blood-lusting plants are. My condition only gets better when I returned to the village, it's as if that it is some sort of curse that prevent anyone to leave this place. This is why we try to chase you all away just now, because if you stay here any longer, you might not be able to get out anymore." said the man.
"I see... But there's another thing that caught my concern. It's reasonable that the villagers ignored you when you got assaulted by the plant roots just now for their own safety but why did they seem to be quite mad after I saved you? And I heard that you mentioned something about they have rejected you. Can you let us know more about that?" Chris asked.
"That... That's purely some sick practice of the villagers. There's one day, they suddenly found out that after the plants successfully assaulted and 'eaten' a certain number of people, they will become inert for a reasonably long period... Thus..." The man stopped as he hesitated if he should continue what he is saying or not.
"It's okay, you don't have to continue if you don't want to, I have pretty much understood the whole situation. Anyway... Since we have already gotten ourselves into this matter, we might as well just investigate the whole thing, including why you are unable to leave the village. Ben, do you mind giving them some health checks?" said Chris.
"Well, I was thinking about the same thing as you and I happened to have everything with me right now, so, it's not a big deal." said Ben, agreeing with Chris's suggestions.
And so, Ben did some health checks on the man and the man's pregnant wife as well as doing some blood tests for them. Through the blood test, he found some very crucial information...

*Something out of the story
Sky: "Dear readers."
Chris: "Hmm?"
Sky: "This chapter is meant to be released for webnovel.com."
Chris: "Oh! This matter. Yes, if you're reading this chapter on another platform than webnovel.com, know that it's an illegal copy diffused without the Writer's authorization."
Sky: "As what Chris said. Right now, this story is free on the authorized platform, so please read it from authorized platforms as mental support for the writer."
Chris: "Mhm... There are two authorized platforms. One is webnovel.com. And another one is that messy and half-dead Weebly site that she uses for draft and backup... But not recommended."
Sky: "Ah... Haha. Yes, as Chris said."
Chris: "But look out, those scums might change this note to their own website link. So, be cautious.
Sky : "By the way, if the cover page is the old cover page that shows two stickmen, stop reading it, it's cursed and might cause the writer to stop writing."
