16th July 2019, Kingdom's HQ, military training ground
Sky is monitoring the military training and is in an extremely bad mood. "Who is the idiot that suggests having a military parade during the annual celebration with Alliance... Oh, wait! It's me." he thought. In order to ensure the parade is a success, Sky is in charge of the training for the cadets. And today is a special day for him although most of the time no one will actually paying attention to it since it is very near with that important annual celebration of diplomatic relations with the Alliance.
Later, after he had done with today's training sessions, Sky took a rest in his personal lounge. When he thought that he would be spending the rest of the day in 'The New World' online RPG which gives him a great amount of birthday rewards, he spotted an unexpected visitor peeking at him from outside the door. It's a young boy, about 5 years old. "It's the orphaned boy Chris pick up from the roadside that he named as Sean... What is he doing here?" He thought for a while and waved at the boy indicate him to come over. "You are Sean right? What brings you here?" He asks the boy. "Vlansky sama, His Majesty said that I could seek for your help if he is not around..." said Sean in a slightly soft and timid voice. "Ah... Now you say it, I just realized that Chris is out for some important quest again. So what do you need from me?" Sky asks Sean in a casual tone. "Vlansky sama, do you know what is birthday?" Sean asks with an innocent look but Sky somewhat getting offended by it. "This boy must be asking this on purpose huh? Is he trying to mess with me?" he thought. "I read about it on a storybook just now, although I never had it before, but this birthday looks so nice, how can I have it?" Sean asks again. "You mean you don't have a birthday? You never have it before?" Sky asked with a softer tone, the boy shook his head as a response. After getting that answer from Sean, Sky thought for a few seconds and decided to do some silly things again. "How about we make it today as your birthday?" said Sky... Mmm... Stupid idea.
"First, we need to have a birthday cake." said Sky after flip through that storybook mentioned by Sean. "Hmm... Let's see... To the dessert house!" said Sky and yes, there is a dessert house in Kingdom HQ. And so they went to the dessert house, the patissier - Elli is busy preparing sweets that are going to be used on the annual celebration. "Miss Elli, do you have any birthday cake here?" Sky asks. "Oh dear! I was too busy and totally forgot about it." said Elli the patissier. "Ah, it's okay I already expected that... Do you have any cakes left?" Sky asks again. "Let me see, oh! There's still one left, but it's the chocolate cake that is reserved for the King, but I could make a new one before His Majesty get back." said the patissier. "Alright, send it to my lounge later. Oh! By the way, it is for this little boy over here, not me." said Sky with a big smile.
Later, they went to the event planner for decorations and to the kitchen ordering for a small feast, and like the patissier, none of them remember anyone's birthday, all of them are too busy with the annual celebrations with Alliance, however, the two still managed to get everything they need.
"Now all left are presents and friends to attend the birthday party. Sean, get Sou and the other to my lounge at 5 pm, we are going to have a birthday party for you." said Sky, Sean nodded and ran to a direction with a happy face. Sky sighed, although he already expected this would be the result and had get use of it, but still, he can't help but feels slightly down. He walks back to his personal lounge to prepare the birthday party for Sean, but he found out someone was waiting in there for him. It's Chris.
Chris is sitting on the sofa with his battle suit still on, he is scrolling through his tablet while sipping a can of carbonated drink. The colorful decorations around him show a big contrast with his black and gold battle suit. "Chris? What are you doing in here?" said so, Sky walks towards Chris and sit at another sofa next to him. Without saying anything, Chris took out a dull-looking rock and put it on the table. "I pick this up from the roadside and remembered that I need to give present to a certain idiot." said Chris without even looking at Sky. "This rock? Uh..." Sky is a bit confused at Chris's present, he touches the rock, and all of a sudden he felts an enormous amount of magic emerged from that dull looking rock. "Ah... Chris, this rock, is this what I think it is? That 'Heart of the Earth'? Are you sure this is something that you could just pick up from roadside?" said Sky while looking at Chris with a suspicious look. "Do you have any problems with it, if you don't like it, I could take it back." Said so, Chris reached out his hand to the rock which quickly taken away by Sky. "No, you already give it to me, you can't regret anymore." said Sky. Chris laughed out a bit. "So, you are having a party later? Count me in, after all you took my chocolate cake." "Ah... Hahahaha... You found out after all, but that cake is not for me though ...." "Anyway, happy birthday." And so, this is yet another happy day in Kingdom.
