Then, I recorded the message and shared to every party member.
"Hey, hey Leader, it's not gonna happen…" said Toval with panicked voice.
Arnold sighed angrily, "Shit, my arms are still hurt due to Wyverns attack back then. Now we got to deal with a Dragon? The fuck, give me break."
Shortly after that Julio and Zikiya reported that their squad are ready for battle, but Julio prefer to avoid combat rather than confronting the Wyverns and Dragon, if we can. But I highly doubt it, who the hell can miss a tasty long caravan crawling under their feet that filled with fresh meat and blood? There are neither stupid beasts nor demons that will ignore this tasty opportunity.
Then, Hibiki, one of Saber Squad's Vice Leaders contacted me and suggested me to let Robert ride and brainwash the dragon with mocking tone. But of course, his idea was completely rejected by all of us in instant, even though Robert was very pumped and eager to do that. He even questioned our decision with angry tone, but Yuna reminded him about the time when we got a mission to subjugate a Lesser Dragon on Fanka Hills and Robert tried to control the weakened Lesser Dragon with his magic without asking us first. At first, Robert can control the Lesser Dragon. Then, he lost his control over it and the Lesser Dragon went on rampage and destroyed the entire village. Yuna also reminded him that she almost burned alive on there.
"Who cares." Robert replied lightly and he glances away.
"Hey Robert, looks like that face of yours need a good smack right now…" said Toval while clenching his fist.
"DRRRRRRRAAAAAAAGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGOOOOOOOOOONNNNNSSSSSS!!!!"
"OH SHIT! HOW MANY TIMES I TOLD YOU TO NOT SCREAMING ON [BROADCAST] YOU STUPID BASTARD!" Arnold shouted with angry tone.
Meanwhile, Jack used his scope to scan the sky and as spotted three packs of Wyverns followed by a Dragon, "Leader! This is…!!!"
"I know Jack! EVERYONE BEGIN OPERATION!"
"YES SIR!"
We changed our caravan formation to the formation that we used when we battled against the packs of Wyverns couple daesh ago. I ordered the Rangers and Knights to retreat again and swapped with the Rogues and Warriors. But a Dragon will be our enemy right now, so I commanded the Magic Archers and Arcane Archers to aim at its heart and eyes. Unlike Wyverns, the Dragon has slower movement and flying speed. We sighted the appearance of the Wyverns and Dragon from afar, but I can't identify the size and species of them since the cloud blocked the sunlight and made the sky becomes darker.
Suddenly a voice chat appeared into my head, "Kenzia here, [North Wind of Liberation] has engaged the enemies. The Dragon is focused on the Wyverns, but some of the Wyverns tried to attack the caravan! The enemies are [Wind Northia] Wyvern"
I thanked her with her information and quickly swapped to party's broadcast channel, "Everyone, our enemies are [Wind Northia] Wyverns, conduct [Anti-Speed Strategy] into main formation!"
[Wind Northia Wyvern] is a higher species of Wyvern that often spotted on Northia Highlands, 326 KMe northeastern from here or any mountains with over than 500 KMe height. The Northia Wyvern can create a shield or barrier from wind that can deflect any physical objects such arrows, swords, etc., and they can use the wind to launch long-ranged attacks from sky in form of bullet, knife, sickle, sword or spear. Other than that, they are well known as the fastest Wyvern species in the world because they can manipulate wind and fly in the harshest weather like blizzard, sandstorm, or thunderstorm. Those abilities make this beast an A+ threat level monster and the worst enemies for Archers, with exception of Magic Archer and Arcane Archer Class.
Khazim took a scope, "Worst enemies for the Archers, eh? They are quite difficult for long green ears!"
Rubert looked above, "This will be more challenging and tiring…"
I think it's a bit odd for Wind Northia Wyverns to fly and hunt here, since it's too far from their nest but now we are riding below them. Luckily, not all Wyverns attacked us. They are probably too busy to escape from the Dragon's mouth, but two of them noticed us and they are swooping down from the sky. The Puppeteer Squad quickly created two big dolls that shaped like deer and launched it onto sky and both of the Wyverns took it. But when the Magic Archers and Arcane Archers tried to shoot them down, the Wyverns activated their wind barrier and magic resistance, making the magic arrows disappear the moment they reach the barrier.
"Heck!" Elizabeth shouted angrily.
"Don't worrrrrryyyyyyyy Elizabeth-cchaaaaannnn, looooook atttt thiiiiis…KATSU!"
Two huge explosions occurred on the sky and both of the Wyverns fell from the sky. They crashed in front of the first carriage when I wasn't anticipated it. We must turn hard to left and right to avoid the huge fire and black smoke that come out from the Wyverns' dead bodies. Valentina and Erick laughed hard after seeing the Wyverns' dead bodies. It seems, Valentina and her squad created two big dolls and Erick put something very dangerous explosive flasks inside the door and then Valentina ignited it when the Wyverns took the bait. Nice idea, but I will give them an earful and long lecture after this.
However, when our caravan and riders aren't still regrouping, the third Wind Northia Wyvern is swooping down from the sky. Probably, it saw the huge explosions earlier. Oh crap, this is very bad!
"That Wyvern is aiming for us!" Jack shouted.
"Warriors at the ready! Mages ready your spells! The rest of you try to disable its [Magic Resistance] and movement!"
(The Wyvern isn't aiming the caravan, but us the riders, thanks Irllina! Eh, wait…THIS IS BAD!)
(The Wyvern is coming down with high speed…It's most likely aiming for Toval or Rubert behind me. But it can be a feint to trick us, could it be that it's trying to attack the third carriage? Calm down, Haru! Do not rush! Wait for the perfect opportunity to take it down!)
The Wyvern closed its wings and used the gravity to speed up its dive. It kept diving until it almost reached Toval's position and it swiftly opened its wings and turned sharply to the left, aiming for the third carriage. The impact wind made few of the riders, including me fell from our horse. I quickly stand and shout on the broadcast with all my power left.
"NOW, ATTAAAAAAAAAAACK!!!!!"
Fortunately, they followed my command perfectly without any delay. One of the Magic Archers released [Art of Archery: The Arrow of Death] and managed to damage the Wyvern's heart from inside, resulted with the Wyvern's chest exploding from inside. The Wyvern almost crash onto the caravan, but the Mages casted [Earth Elemental Magic Art: Stone Hands] to stop it. Luckily, there was no explosion whatsoever, so the incapacitated riders weren't damaged from anything. But I glimpsed three shadows from the sky and I looked above. There are three Wyverns flying in circle and then all of them swoop down in the blink of an eye. I am shocked and I ran to Rubert who are still lying on the ground, he desperately tries to stand up but he can't.
"RRRRUUUUUBBBBBEEEEEEEERRRRTTTT!!!"
One of the Wyvern grabs Rubert with its left leg and I ran to it with all my might, reaching out my hand when the Wyvern starts to fly. Then, ten arrows passed the three Wyverns' barrier and crushed their heart from inside. The Wyvern who is still grabbing Rubert desperately tries to fly, but then Julio came with his horse and cut its leg, followed by its head. He shielded Rubert from the Wyvern's body and I ran to them.
"Julio, Rubert!" I came and quickly cut the Wyvern's joint on its wing.
"It's hurt Leader, ow, ow…plus I have a man with full metal armor on top of it…" Rubert grinning in pain.
Shortly after that, Eleza, Arnold and Robert came with my party caravan. They helped Rubert and other injured Warriors move to the third and fifth carriage, where the Healer Squad is. Then, we swapped the riders and continued our ride, since other caravans have left us out. Along the way, I gave a harsh scolding to Valentina and Erick that became the source of this problem. They just said yes and apologized while promising they will ask Mikazuchi, Vetto or my permission first, even though I didn't feel any "guilt" coming from Erick's words.
We speed up our riding pace to chase the guild's caravan and we successfully regroup with [Istheris Sunaria] Party's caravan after spending almost a heverra riding. Thankfully, the remaining Wyverns and Dragon aren't chasing us but aiming at the main caravan instead. The back Scout who noticed our return asked us where we went and informed us the other parties have taken care almost all of the Wyverns. I saw there are ten Wyverns that are still flying on the sky, trying to escape from the dragon.
But suddenly, the Dragon devoured ten Wyverns instantly by using an unknown [Wind] Spell to suck them inside its mouth. Of course, we are surprised after seeing that. Then, I realized the Dragon is still hungry just by looking at its expression. I don't know how to say, but I have a bad feeling about that.
"Hey it ate ten Wyverns in instant. Now what?" asked Khazim with dumbfounded expression.
Then I saw the dragon eyeing the convoy ahead of us, while channeling something sparkling on its mouth. I quickly activated my [Broadcast] magic to my party members and to other parties' leaders.
"IT IS AIMING FOR [EASGHERVEL] AND [CST] CARAVAN! EVERYONE, SCATTER!"
"OH SHIT!" Arnold quickly turns away, and as I predicted, the Dragon released its [Dragon Breath] to both of the caravan line. Thankfully, the caravans only damaged by the [Dragon Breath] and not destroyed.
"Leader, I think that Dragon is…smirking…?" said Jack as he observes the dragon. Yeah, I saw it. It seems to enjoy this. Wait, have I ever seen a dragon smirking on the first place?
"…Dragon is a powerful and intelligent beast. It can think and speak like normal human if I remember, but smirking…? Did I—"
Alexander shouts, "Oi, Leader! Here it comes again!"
"Oh…! EVERYONE, USE YOUR STROGEST RANGED ATTACKS OR SPELLS! AIM FOR ITS MOUTH WHEN IT'S CHARGING ITS [DRAGON BREATH], THE REST OF YOU AIM FOR IT'S WINGS, EYES, HEAD AND CHEST!"
The Dragon started to open its mouth to use [Dragon Breath] again. But before it can fire it, the Magic Archers disturbed the mana concentration on its mouth by firing arrows directly inside. My other party members shot their magic simultaneously, assisted by other party's members, and resulting a big explosion on the sky. The Magic Archers kept firing [Art of Archery: The Arrow of Death] to damage the Dragon's internal organs. I can't see well because the smoke from the explosion covers the Dragon. But, then….
"THE DRAGON IS FALLING! EVERYONE TURN RIGHT! HARD RIGHT!!!! HOLD ON TO SOMETHING EVERYONE!" I shouted. Our caravans turn sharply to the right. I heard the girls scream as the Dragon created a big impact when it hit the ground. The dust covered the entire area and blocked our vision, but we keep distancing ourselves from it as an anticipation for the incoming attacks if it still alive.
Jack shouted at me and I nodded. I realized the Dragon is still breathing due to my [Appraisal].
"EVERYONE SURROUND THE DRAGON AND ATTACK IT WITH YOUR ALL AVAILABLE SPELLS AND SKILLS! THE DRAGON IS STILL ALIVE!"
"But, Kaichou! Our mana has depleted greatly!"
"WHAT'S THE POINT I BROUGHT MANA POTION AND ALCHEMISTS HERE, YUNA-SAN?! HURRY UP AND RECHARGE YOUR MANA! OTHERWISE, IT'LL START ATTACKING AGAIN! WARLOCKS, YOU MAY GO WILD! KNIGHTS, WARRIORS AND OTHER CLOSE COMBAT CLASSES! OPEN FORMATION AND FOLLOW ME! SURROUND THE DRAGON!!! GOGOGOGO!!!"
The caravan is turning left, making a big circle. The close combatant classes followed my lead and they are attacking the Dragon simultaneously with their own weapon. I saw The Mages tried to bind it but I don't think they bind it for long. Robert told me that we needed another party assistance to finish off the dragon but I immediately refused his idea because I don't want to drag another people on this dangerous battle. Moreover, the other party caravans' location is quite far from here and I can see from far that they are heading here with full speed. I want to finish this dragon fast so it won't harming other caravans that headed here.
Yuna reported to me that all of the Mage Divisions are ready to cast their strongest spells and now they are waiting my command. Hearing that, I quickly asked Robert about the dragon's condition and he said that we have blinded it eye, holing and tearing its wings while binding it down. I can say the dragon it's already on it wits end, and we just need to finish it right now before it uses recovering spell. I ordered the close combatant classes to launch their strongest attack, keep their distance and return to formation after they done. Then, I allowed the mages to launch their strongest combination spells after the vanguards retreated and putting a protection barrier. We kept attacking the Dragon while retreating to original formation and then The Mages launched their strongest attack.

A loud explosion and bright light followed after the spell. The impact of the explosion was really big that it broke the grounds and scattered the debris. We need to cover ourselves behind a barrier or rock wall to protect ourselves from the incoming heat, shockwave and materials. Then, a huge black smoke raises to the sky from behind the thick dust. Jack and Kenzia appeared from behind me and praised me. But I ignore their words and staring at the thick dust while opening my eyes widely.
"OH, YOU GOTTA BE JOKING?! NIDA LET'S GO! WE DON'T HAVE TIME!" I shouted in stress as I pulled Nida's rein. I used my [Animal Communication] Skill to command my horse and Nida responded it by running much faster than usual. Other people who saw me called my name and asked where I want to go.
I galloped my horse to the Dragon location then I stand on the back of my horse. I unsheathed my longswords from their scabbards. When I reached the dragon's head, I ordered my horse, Nida to throw me. Then, he stopped in instant and launched me using it's back. Now that I'm on the air, I tried to land on top of its head. As I get closer, the dragon suddenly opens its mouth and shot [Dragon Breath] at me. The people behind me are shocked and shouted. I would probably die and vanished into dust if that beam hit me directly. But I teleported right before the beam attack and appeared on the dragon's neck.

I managed to cut its head cleanly, but due to the impact, I was thrown away quite far away from the dragon. I got dazed for a few moments as I fall. When I am fully conscious, I am already lying on the ground. Ouch, my back. Looks like I hit the ground quite hard. I can't move my hands and legs at all but I saw my party members are coming to me with the guild caravan. Thanks for coming fast. Otherwise, I will die from internal bleeding.
