Using a chalk in his room, he quickly followed the instruction on the grimoire and drew the same magic circle on the floor of his room and placed his hand on the summoning circle on the book.
Despite his worries, Volom knew that getting his soul dragged into the abyss would be a horrible thing and thus placed his right hand upon the circle.
The circle began to pulse and his right hand began to hurt as a seal was engraved on the back of his right hand. The seal had lines and circle intersecting on them but there were letters at the border of the magic circle.
"I.P.O.S. Ipos. So, the demon that I have summoned is Ipos?"
"That is right contractor. Look upon my form and tremble and witness Ipos."
Imagining all sorts of possibilities of how the demon will appear, Volom turned his head only to witness a goose standing in the magic circle, looking at him with an air of indifference.
Stunned, Volom was unable to speak but the goose continued to speak to Volom with an air of indifference.
"Let me see the seal to show that you are working with me."
Upon realizing that the goose was indeed Ipos, Volom quickly showed Ipos the seal that was on his right hand.
Seeing the trembling hand of Volom, Ipos could only snort in disdain.
"Why so scared? The contract has been made. I won't just kill you for no reason. Here let me help you."
*Snap*
With a snap (even though he only he feathers), Volom felt courageous and less fearful of Ipos in front of him.
"My power allows me to at least kinds of small things. Contractor, let us work together to survive this war."
