Entering the school I go straight to my locker where I met up with the guys, as some of them talk about all the girls they are going to try to date this year. Ian, my best friend,and I are joking around like we normally do when I glance over at the door and see her walk in. Maybe it was the way the sun hit her strawberry blonde hair that was in a professional bun, the beautiful medium blue eyes that shined as she looked down trying to hide from everyone, the way her tan skin glowed in contrast to everything else, or maybe it was the way she moved so elegantly even though she held tons of books and papers. I don't know what caught my eye first, but she had mine and other attention immediately. Sadly though Jacob called dibs on her while walking to her. He asked for number her number before she quietly rejected him walking closer to me. Ian,of course, noticing me staring at her says to me "Bro remember you have a girl and Jacob already called dibs so no one can make a move on her.". I nod quickly telling him that I I heard him but continue focusing my eyes upon her. Knowing that I will lose my girl and friends if I keep staring at her Ian shoves me.....right into her.
Everything flys from her hands and onto the floor. Grabbing a few of her books and papers I look into her Beautiful blue eyes and hand the books and papers to her. Mumbling lame excuse and an apology I asked her if I could help her take her stuff to her first class. After she surely agreed that I could help her I take a few for books from the tall pile in her hands. We walk Silently before I ask her what her name is. After finding out that her name is Keela I tell her my name and ask about how she got into this school. We walk as she tells me how she got to the school. My girlfriend, Marie, runs up and asked me who I am with. After introducing Keela to Marie and Marie to Keela, Keela takes her books and tells me that she can manage to find her way to her class and that she hopes Marie and I have a very nice day before walking away quietly.
After telling Marie the reason I took Keela to her class I promised Marie that I was not going to cheat on her. After walking back to my locker to get my bag and I walked do my biology class first period. Finding Marie waiting in line I join her. As I walk in the class I see her again, it's Keela, she obviously notices when I walk in because her face becomes red before she hides it. Then it become pale seeing Marie behind me, she hides that too. Keela's table is directly in front of me and Marie sits next to me. She sits next to John, Ian, and a girl name Kate. Deep down I wordlessly think to myself how I wish me and John switched places and I sat directly next to Keela. I wish I could go up and talk to her but I have a doubt that she would want to talk to me again. I think about our walk through the halls and how it was nice to just talk without being judged whatsoever, to be hundred percent open and free. To smell her sweet perfume as I held her books and papers.
She seems so shy and scared of the school, I want to help her I want to help her feel safe and welcome. When she told me that she came here because she did good on a test, I believed her at first for a split second before realizing that there is no way that she only got here because of a test. I want to know her story, I want to learn about her. Before I realize it the bell to leave the class rings snapping me out of my daydreams of being with her.
