In a realm where mana is found everywhere, technology was not much-studied because of that civilization was not much advanced. Moreover, everyone is born with an affinity to one of the elements or even be more than one. The most common ones are the four elements followed by the middle tier which are lighting, ice, gravity, nature, light, darkness, And lastly, the high tier which is space-time and life-destruction which exists in pairs.
Those people are called Mage Warriors. They can cast spells and use their mana through their weapons. To increase your mana capacity you are first to form a mana core where the mana is stored as everybody will have had formed a mana core by the age of ten. Afterward, to increase your mana capacity the core should be connected to the stars that exist hidden within the body.

But there was known to be another stage which is called the Spirit stage. Which was the stage the Human Emperor was when he defeated the Monster King, moreover 300 years passed since then and nobody has ever heard of anyone becoming Gold stage intermediate level nonetheless a Spirit stage expert.
The Lucis house, a family with not much history since it was built recently due to the contribution of Aiden Lucis aginst fighting the monster race for the Larx empire. Because of how recent it is, it was ranked below at the bottom compared to the other houses which were there for 400 years. As there were there to help the Human Emperor fight against the invading monster race, which solidified their position.
The top three strongest houses are the Aelius house whose descendants are light users occupied the first spot, followed by the second Eira house whose descendants were known to be ice users and thirdly Raiden house who are lighting users. As for the other houses, nobody knew about them as not much information was released about them but they are not any less dangerous than the top three houses.
But they all served the Imperial clan where the Human emperor is from, alas they rarely show themselves to the public.
