Chapter 116 - Chapter 36

Somewhere in Wasteland Of Death.

"I can't take this anymore!!!", Mio shouts in a frustrated voice as she smashes her fist against the upcoming troll.

*Boom*

With a loud explosion the entire upper body of the poor trull gets blasted into pieces, making it's companions retreat in fear.

"It's been three months! three months since I last saw the ground master!"

*Boom*

"All because of that stupid dragon! Argh!"

*Boom*

A small group of Demi-humans kept shivering in fear as they helplessly looked at the scene of pure carnage taking place in front of them.

It's been a few weeks since they started following Mio who suddenly appeared out of nowhere and directly threatened them to either follow her or die, after she easily beat up all the strong members of their tribes, they were left with no choice but to obey her.

Though it wasn't all bad, with Mio around they no longer had to worry about their safety in the Wasteland Of Death, plus she promised to take them to a better land in the future which was the reason most them agreed to follow her as their leader.

It's just that.......

An old dwarf wiped away the cold sweat from his forehead when he saw Mio literally tore off a giant troll's head like nothing.

She is a bit too savage......

"Young master!"

Also she has this weird obsession with the words 'Young master.'

-------------------------------------

From high up in the sky, Grant looked down at the giant Stella Fort, his territory.

With the gradual dispersion of mana, the giant glacier of ice has long since vanished leaving behind the beautiful natural fortress in all its glory.

Currently the entire Stela Fort was under heavy construction, various types of workers, carpenters, magicians and rune masters could be seen moving around in full force.

And at the very centre of the Stella Fort, the rough outline of a giant tower could be seen.

It was his magic tower.

The most important thing to a mage.

Of course the Empire was kind enough to pay for the entire construction after he had a heart to heart conversation with the old Emperor.

But.

Looking at the several magicians and rune masters carving out different runes of the outer body of the unfinished tower, a visible frown appeared on Grant's face.

The reason for it was obvious.

'I still cannot believe such incompetent people are being called grandmasters........'

At first Grant thought the old Emperor was messing with him by sending such terrible rune masters but later on he found out that they were actually the best the Empire had to offer.

This left Grant feeling helpless.

After all he couldn't just carve out each and every single brick of the giant magic tower by himself now can he?

'Let's just hope the dwarf's won't disappoint me as well.'

Having trained under the Goddess Of Magic herself, Grant's expectations were a bit too high for his own good.

With quick speed, Grant descended, coming down at a recently build mansion, the flag of the Ashdown family could be clearly seen placed on walls of the newly build structure.

"Young master! young master!"

Just when Grant was about to land, a familiar voice hurriedly called out to him, unsurprisingly it was the old butler Hans who had followed him from the capital saying that it was his duty to serve the upcoming head of the family.

Grant had to agree though the old man was a lot more dedicated to his job then he originally thought.

"Did something happen?", Grant asked as he landed before the exited Hans.

"Yes young master! Do you remember the request you place at the adventurer's guild three months ago?"

"An adventurer saying that he knows the location of a Superior Dragon just arrived!"

A glint passed through Grant's eyes, containing his excitement he said.

"Lead the way, I'll see him personally."

"Yes young master!"

----------------------------

Inside the giant mansion, Grant sat in front of the adventurer with a weird expression on his face.

"You....you said your name was Marklo?"

"Yes Lord Grant, I cannot express how blessed I am feeling right now, having gotten the chance to meet the star of the Empire, the savior of human race, the Hero selected by the goddess........."

Although the ordinary looking man with purple hair was expressing his admiration towards Grant, the nearby maid, knights and the butler Hans couldn't help but feel proud themselves.

Yes this was the master they were serving!

It has to be said that Grant's popularity in the Empire was way ahead of the Emperor almost reaching the Goddess's in some rural parts.

While everyone else was smiling in satisfaction hearing the nonstop praises coming out of the adventurers mouth, Grant on the other hand was seeing a completely different scene.

In his eyes what appeared was not the adventurer named 'Marklov'

Hell it wasn't even a guy.

With her inherent blue skin signifying her birth as a demon kind and her beautiful long hair reaching her hips, there was no way in hell this bona fida female could be the adventurer named 'Marklov'

The only thing separating her from other demons was that there was no horn on top of her head.

Looking at her appearance a named suddenly popped up in Grant's mind.

Demon General Rona, one of the four demon generals working under the demon king Zef.

Having confirmed her identity an uncontrollable smile appeared in Grant's face, with graceful movements he picked up the tea cup and drank from it before putting it down.

By this time Demon general Rona or Marklov has stopped spouting out her bullshit.

Grant had to say though, hearing a man's voice coming out of Tina's mouth was disturbing to say the least.

"Lord Grant as you requested I have found out the location of the superior dragon Crimson Lapis, Azuma.......", A serious look appeared in Rona's face as she stared straight into Grant's eyes.

Although she tried her best to supress it, Grant could clearly detect trace of killing intent hidden deep inside her eyes.

Which wasn't surprising considering the number of demons he had killed till now.

"I'm listening go ahead.", Grant said as he passed her a smile.

"Yes Lord Grant, we must act fast or the superior dragon might leave........", As if having caught her pray, Rona unconsciously raised her voice a little and quickly started telling the location of Azuma.

Grant calmly looked at her acting, not showing any expression.

Since the demons have decided to scheme against him.

He wouldn't mind playing along with them.

But of course.

Everyone has to pay the price for their actions.

And he was afraid that this price might be a bit too heavy for the demons to repay.

---------------------------------

In an unknown world the space had been perfectly separated into two, one dark and the other golden.

Inside the dark side, a figure in complete white stood out like a sore thumb.

Like a bunny the figure in white hopped around in circle around a particular area, at first it seemed like a random location, but if one were to look carefully, they would find a person like the night itself blending in the darkness, sitting peacefully in a cross legged position with his eyes closed behind that mask.

"Hey William.", Suddenly the figure in white stopped before turning to face the William who was in a meditative position.

"Are you even listening.", With a helpless tone the figure in white said but even after waiting for a while he didn't receive any reply.

"Take what's the difference between staying alone and staying with you anyway......"

Raising his hand the figure in white moved it to touch William's shoulder perhaps ti get a reaction out of him.

But just before his hand was about to reach him.

*Slice*

'Hm?'

With quick movement the figure in white retreated his hand and stared at his finger.

Then an absurd thing happened.

A very fine cut slowly appeared on his finger before vanishing.

The corners of the white figure's mouth twitched before he silently made his way towards the golden side of the world.

On that day he swore to never mess with this person again.
