"We should reach our destination soon."
Grant said as he looked down at the familiar terrain.
"By the way....."
Grant turned his head half-way and said.
"Just how long do you plan to keep holding me?"
Hearing his words, Mio tilted her head before a sad look appeared on her face.
"My waist hurts, your grip is too strong."
Grant was joking, his waist really was hurting after hourse if being held by Mio, her strength wasn't something to be underestimated...
With puffed cheeks Mio withdrew her hands and looked down at the passing terrain.
"What would you say when someone asks about identity?"
Mio placed her finger on her lips as she made a thinking pose.
Grant waited for her to reply, during the journey he has more or less explained the situation to Mio, even telling her how she should react to such questions...
"It's none of your business."
Grant almost lost his balance and fell off the wyvern after hearing her reply.
"Did you even listen to a single word I said?"
Holding his forehead Grant asked.
Seeing Mio evading his gaze, Grant more or less got his answer.
Just then a small murder entered his ears.
"It's your fault for being so good looking I couldn't focus....."
"What did you say?"
"Nothing!"

"Sir Empitone, we are just about to reach Stella Fort, is there any news of the Hero?"
A middle-aged officer asked respectively as he looked at the dignified old man studying the map.
"Order the soldiers to set up camp, we shall wait here for a few more days for the Hero's arrival."
Hearing Empitone's words, the middle-aged officer hesitated before asking.
"Sir this battle...willl we-------"
The middle-aged officers words got stuck in his throat unable to come out as he looked at the Duke with hopeful eyes.
Duke Empitone turned towards his subordinate and gave him a deep look before saying.
"If the Hero doesn't return then we will loose."
The memory of the Hero destroying the demons army was still clear in his mind.
If the Hero could use the same power again then they will win without a problem.
Otherwise.....
Duke Empitone looked down at the geographical map of the Stella fort.
The only way to get pass those walls will be a front on confrontation.
Which would mean a head on battle with the already strong demons having home ground advantage.
Plus the demons will be able to get supplies from their side but the humans on the other hand.....
This was a classified information that only Duke himself knew.
The Empire has placed all of its chips on this battle.
There would be no supplies coming from the Empire's side as they have already sent whatever they had with the army.
While the Duke was contemplating about their next course of action.
*Roar*
The sound of a familiar beast entered his ears. Hearing the sound, a smile appeared on Duke Empitone's face as he turned towards the middle-aged office and said.
"Get the soldiers ready, it's time for war."
But before the soldiers could get exited.
"The spirits of the snow, the snowstorms of the extreme lands, listen to my command…..."
For a moment everyone stopped and looked up at the wyvern flying in the sky.
"…....the old era of decay and the end of the terminal will arrive…..."
The demons standing inside the castle trembled as they felt the temperature in their surrounding drop at a crazy rate.
"….....the winter's hibernation is destruction as well as rebirth....…"
"We will bring about equal end and death to all life…"
"The all encompassing frost will return back to the mortal world and the world belonging to the dead will rise once again."
A cold breath came out of Grant's mouth as he looked down at the majestic fortress below him.
Raising his staff, a blue glow surrounded it as Grant finished casting his spell.
"[Ice Aeon]"
At this moment, the bizarre incantation echoes throughout the entire battlefield. Even though this is the language of a foreign world, everyone can comprehend the true meaning behind this bizarre language.
One of the demon standing guard on top of the wall heard a cracking sound, as he turned his head what appeared in his vision was the frozen corpse of his comrad who died without even knowing what happened.
But before the demon could even mourn his friend's death, his body was frozen solid by the endless winter which descended from the sky.
Far away from the Stella Fort, Duke Empitone slowly put down the small distance telescope in his hand.
For a moment the Duke stood in one place as if contemplating about the meaning of life, not long after a bitter smile appeared on his old face.
"It looks like we weren't needed in the first place."
"Sir Empitone look the Hero is flying away!"
Empitone turned his head and spotted Grant who appeared to be going back in the direction of the Empire.
It was like he was saying.
'I did my part of the work the rest is upto you.'
Duke Empitone shook his head before once again looking at the Stella Fort which seemed to have been frozen in an endless winter.
"Sir what are you're orders....."
"We'll wait..... hopefully the magic will dissipate on its own soon....."

Gosh it feels like I am needlessly stretching this arc, even though it's only been like 31 chapters, sigh it's because I keep breaking my flow again and again instead of just continuosly writing.
