Chapter 89 - Chapter 6: Deal(part-2)

"Spatial magic.?.....", Grant muttered in a small voice as he carefully studied his surroundings.

"What is this place...."

It seemed like he was in some sort of a golden space, everywhere around him all he could see was golden light.

'It's a bit blinding', Grant covered his eyes as he stood up on something which felt like the solid ground but not at the same time.

While Grant was starting to gather mana around his body, a sweet voice entered his ears.

"You are finally here"

With a quick movement, he turned around as the owner of the voice came into his vision.

It was a woman with a voluptuous body, long golden hair adorned her back, with a face perfect in every way imaginable.

Looking at the otherworldly beauty, the corners of Grant's mouth couldn't help but twitch as a familiar name rang out in his head.

'Tsuki ga Michibiku Isekai Douchuu'

'No wonder I felt that the statue looked familiar.....'

Grant couldn't help but take a step back as he looked at the main antagonist of the series.

"Don't be afraid child."

But before he could react, A soft sensation hit his face while his body was lifted above the ground

"I have been watching over you this entire time", Goddess said while stroking Leo's hair.

'He is indeed worthy of being the hero....'

She thought in her mind as she looked at Leo's face, even after living for several million years, this was her first time seeing such a beautiful child, the more she looked at him the wider her smile became, It was indeed a great decision to change the heroic spirit's course.

'If only my powers didn't weaken I could have directly taken him away on the day of his birth, that way I could have influenced him and made him the most perfect hero.....'

Goddesses' eyes sharpened as she looked at the three-year-old in her bosom.

'Although it isn't too late now either....'

"Child...", Lifting Grant up to face level, she stared straight at his golden eyes and continued in a tender voice.

"You can call me mother from now on"

Slowly releasing her godly powers, she put up a mesmerizing smile on her face.

Fufufuf-it is a piece of cake for her to influence a three-year-old with her powers.

While the Goddess was busy with her own trail of thought, Leo finally opened his mouth...

But what came out of his mouth was a little too different from what she had imagined....

"Let go of me you old hag"

"...'

Silence enveloped the place.

A very awkward silence.....

"I-I m-must have heard wrong! right how could a child possibl-----"

"I said let go of me"

"....."

"Don't tell me you cannot even follow basic instructions, I said let me down"

Without giving a second look to the goddess's stunned face, Grant directly used magic and got out of her grip.

It took a moment for the goddess to realize what just happened, raising her shaking hand she pointed at Grant and said in a trembling voice.

"Y-Y-You----"

"Grant Ashdown."

"!!"

"That's my name."

The childish expression from Grant's face vanished replaced by an apathetic one.

If anyone who knew him saw this hen they would be shocked to death, unable to understand how a child can give off such a strong sense of pressure.

By now the Goddess has calmed down, the smile on her face has long disappeared as she stared at Grant with a serious expression on her face.

"You have the memories of your past life"

Grant didn't say anything, he just calmly stood in place letting her make her own guesses.

An eerie silence enveloped the place as neither of them said anything.

Both of them calmly looked at each other.

Just as Grant was wondering whether he would have to fight a goddess.

Something unexpected happened.

*Clap*

Without any warning, the Goddess suddenly clapped her hands as her signature smile returned to her face.

"That's even better."

Before Grant could react the space around him distorted, replaced by a grand hall, a chair appeared behind him, and a goddess.

"Grant is it? Please take a seat"

Grant raised his eyebrow a little at the sudden change in attitude but he still nonetheless sat down on the chair behind him.

"Would you like to drink something?", Goddess clapped her hands once again as a table filled with a variety of drinks appeared between them.

"I'm not thirsty."

"That's unfortunate", A sad look appeared on the goddess's face as she waved her hands and the drink's disappeared.

"Well then..."

She straightened her back and stared at Grany with a serious expression on her face.

"Grant Ashdown....."

"Please save my world"
