Goddess Artemis looked at the sky with empty look in her eyes.
'This...is this really what I wanted?'
Currently she was contemplating about the meaning of her existence and all life.
She was going through that phase we've all been through.
On the other hand beside the depressed Goddess Artemis stood God Soma with a rare to be seen smile on his face.
And unlike her God Soma seemed to be in a wonderful mood, he even seem to be humming a song in excitement.
Their moods were completely different but the cause for their states was the same.
Because just a moment ago William transferred his blessing from Goddess Artemis to God Soma leaving Goddess Artemis feeling empty inside.
"You know Artemis."
Suddenly hearing her name being called, Goddess Artemis turned her face towards God Soma.
"Why don't you and William get married?"
*Cough*Cough*
A violent coughing started coming out of Goddess Artemis's mouth when she heard the sudden words, her face quickly turned red and eyes started shaking.
"Y-you! what is wrong with you Soma?!"
She said in an almost shouting voice making God Soma tilt his head in confusion.
"Isn't that what you were after? or perhaps I was wrong?"
Now that William was back in his familia, God Soma no longer held any bad feeling towards Artemis, and so he spoke freely.
"If you two had children then wouldn't that make me a grandfather? it's doesn't seem like a bad idea...."
Goddess Artemis quickly grabbed God Soma by his collar and started shaking him.
"Y-You've gone crazy Soma!"
She kept shaking him until she drew tired and her breathing became haggard.
"But you know Artemis."
God Soma's unsettlingly calm eyes were staring straight at her.
"The dungeon has already been cleared."
His words confused her, she wondered how it was related to their conversation.
"Which means there is no longer a need for the God's to stay in the lower realm or for new children to get our blessing."
"What are you....."
"This might be you're one and only chance, before heavens declare some radical rule, like returning back...."
Goddess Artemis's eyes started shaking.
"T-then how can you be so calm?", Her grip holding God Soma's collar tightened.
"Why would I not be calm?"
God Soma continued.
"My familia is the most powerful."
"My children are the most competent."
"And my child has conquered the dungeon."
An bright light passed through his eyes.
"Even if I return to heaven my blessing with William will stay."
Goddess Artemis's hands started trembling.
"I will be able to watch over him even from heavens."
God Soma looked down on her.
"And when he dies of old age I will be the one to welcome his heroic soul."
"You..."
A hint of anger appeared in Goddess Artemis's voice.
"You knew all this that's why you were in such a hurry to transfer blessing....."
God Soma slapped her hands away.
"Atleast I know what I want, unlike you Artemis."
God Soma turned around and left, leaving Goddess Artemis behind.
"Oh and I'm really not against the idea of grandchildren."
His sudden parting words made her loose her balance.
------------------------
Inside a simple looking room, William sat on a chair examining the compass in his hand.
It was a unique looking compass with no sign of the four general directions on it, there was only a very special looking needle in the shape of a dragon which kept pointing at a specific direction regardless of how he moved the compass.
Just when he was about to reach the end of the dungeon, at the second last floor, which was also the biggest floor he has ever seen, William found this compass, there was no monster on that floor, no traps, it wasn't even a safe zone, yet that giant place which could fit five dungeon cities in it was filled with nothing but emptiness and this one single compass.
A glint passed through William eyes as he looked at the direction the dragon needle was pointing at.
The answer was obvious.
"One-Eyed Black Dragon."
One of the three great calamities.
The hunt has begun.
